Fran, the owner, was very prompt and pleasant with correspondence. She was kindly concerned that all of my wishes were met. She gave me info and maps on local hiking trails, spas and restaurants to visit. The lakes in walking distance were a plus, as well as the nearby access to the Appalacian Trail. I will be sure to go back soon!
My boyfriend and I stayed in this lovely cabin for Xmas weekend. When we got there the cabin looked exactly like the photos. Fran even had a bag of goodies for us to keep. Fran was super helpful through the whole process and was very fast to respond. The wood stove makes the cabin nice and warm and romantic. We spent the weekend exploring the surrounding area, the cabin is very close to some very cool spots in the Berkshires. We went to Ice Glen in Stockbridge, which I highly recommend. It is such a scenic hike and the weather was abnormally warm for us so it was a great time. We got to meet Fran on our last day there and she was super nice. We would definitely make the trip out here again!
We had a fantastic experience in this cabin. Everything was provided and the host was very thoughtful. It was just the right size cottage for four guests, peaceful and quiet. Our children had a fantastic time playing in the stream.
Cabin is tucked away in a serene wooded area of the berkshires. There's lots of privacy and it feels very homey. The kitchen is well stocked so we shopped for food and enjoyed a few meals in the comfy dining room. There is a lake entrance 4 minutes away and a lovely little beach and we were the only ones there. Clean and beautiful. The cabin is a 30-minute drive to many of the local attractions--tanglewood, Rockwell museum, Etc but we found that driving around was an adventure and activity in itself because the scenery is so magnificent. Jacobs Pillow--just down the road--should not be missed, and the dining room is as good as the dancing! Fran was incredibly personable and cares so much that you have a great experience---she'll do anything for you!!
The owner of the property was a delight; her communications were all prompt, thorough and honest. A pleasure to rent from someone who really understands the whole concept of hospitality. That said, the cabin has everything you'll need--don't even bring bottled water the tap is delicious. There's wood for the big fire pit, linens etc. Plenty of info on local area but if it's a sunny day you'll probably just want to swim in the lake that's a short walk down the lane. Cabin is perfect size for two adults and two small children.
Comfortable charming and cozy log cabin. The owner provided lovely touches and the home was extremely clean.
