Large living / dining area, separate fully equipped kitchen, 3 double / twin bedded rooms,2 bathrooms. Private patio area with sea views. The house is situated on the outskirts of Alcossebre on the border of a protected national park, ideal for walking and bird watching - only 10 minute walk to the town with all amenities and 5 un-spoilt blue flag beaches.

Wonderful to recharge the batteries

We have stayed at this villa many times, the location is perfect, set in attractive gardens, great views, and peaceful, yet an easy stroll into the town which offers a range of excellent restaurants from the inexpensive to ‘fine’ dinning and wonderful beaches (take your snorkel to see fish of every colour of the rainbow).

Being an easy drive to both Barcelona and Valencia along the motorway allows you to explore both these cities. It also means access to a good choice of low cost flights from the UK to the various airports.

Inside the well equipped villa the white washed walls, tiled floors and high ceiling give a clean spacious feel, the comfy sofas are great to flop on in the evening, if you can tear yourself aware from the veranda and the views (the veranda is very sheltered so even late into the autumn it has been warm an pleasant to sit outside in the evening enjoying a glass or two of wine).

The owner ensures your booking goes without a hitch and is a great source of information about the area and how to bag the best bargain flights and car hire.

Breaks here are a real escape and an opportunity to relax and recharge.

Great summer stay

We had a terrific week here last August (family of four). The owner was very helpful in the lead up to the holiday, and the location is great, a quiet corner plot of the complex yet with a view of the sea and only a 10 minute stroll downhill into the town and the beach. Alcossebre is a little gem, no high rises, beautiful beaches and good restaurants and bars, something for all the family. We drove out to Benacaissim and Peniscola, and although the latter particularly is worth a visit, they were both uncomfortably crowded, and parking was a nightmare. Alcossebre is busy, but you can leave the car at the villa and walk down to the beach, (if you can cope with the walk back; we toned up during the week!) and there's always somewhere you can breathe. Can't remember the names of the beaches, but the second one along, (to the right of the main promenade) is smaller but less busy and equally good.

The villa was great for us; we slept on the mezzanine floor and the kids had a room each downstairs - bedrooms clean, good size, storage space, and a bathroom for us and kids was a must. Kitchen small but well equipped, and we cooked at least one meal a day there. Good old BBC coverage of the Olympics as well! There are actually two small pools available - we preferred the one further from the villa across the dividing path of the complex as it was further away from the accomodation blocks and had more seating room.

In short, we had a great stay - if you want a larger complex, pool, plenty of noise and right on the beach, this might not be for you, but for good customer service, a bolthole away from the crowds surrounded by beautiful countryside, this is ideal. We'll be back!

Quiet location on the outskirts of the town - in an area of outstanding natural beauty and only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Alcossebre is situated close to the main A7 / E15 motorway - about 2 hours from Barcelona, approx 1 hour drive from Reus airport, 50 minutes from Valencia airport and around 2 hours from Alicante airport
