About Neil and Julie
We came to Fornalutx on holiday for seven years after buying a house in the village. We loved it so much we moved here permanently in 2013 and bought another house to renovate and live in. We now share our home by way of having created two self-contained properties within it.
Neil and Julie purchased this House in 2012
Why Neil and Julie chose Fornalutx
This property is part of our house and we fell in love with its location: it is in a quiet part of the village with views of the mountains and overlooking orange groves but yet is still so close to the village amenities. It is easy to get to by car or on foot.
Great Location, Great Village
Mallorca should be on everyone’s bucket list!
Loved our stay
Julie and Neil's home was charming and exactly as pictured. They were very accommodating with our arrival time and helped us locate the property and parking. I appreciated that the house included complimentary champagne, snacks and some beach towels for our use. The house was clean, and I really enjoyed the patio area. It was a very easy walk to the restaurants, supermarket and main plaza in Fornalutx. We even did an easy hike to Soller for dinner one evening. Very happy with our stay here!
We found driving and parking in Fornalutx to be a little bit stressful, but that was true of all of the small villages on the island. Fornalutx has a reputation for being the most beautiful village in the area but it also has the fewest bakeries, restaurants, businesses, etc so consider that when deciding on where to stay.
Beautiful location, great for walking.
Pretty apartment, very quirky. Great location for walking/cycling. Plenty of nice restaurants in the village. One small problem at the apartment was the shower curtain, every time you tried to wash it would cling to you..not ideal, but very minor. Overall, would definitely go back to the area and apartment. Lovely break.
Perfect place to stay
We loved Julie and Neils Appartment. it's absolutely fab. We will come back for sure
We look forward to your next visit to this glorious part of the island.
Was fab even better than we had hoped for, great location and facilities
Beautiful old Finca in a quiet corner of the village.
Tastefully decorated and with some original features and a beautiful little courtyard garden overlooking the orange grove, the property is ideal for two people.
Neil the kind owner of this property was there with friendly advice for our stay in the beautiful village of Fornalutx which was surrounded by orange and lemon groves and where the air smelled constantly of orange blossom. A thoughtful welcome pack was also appreciated.
Situated in a quiet corner of the village but within minutes walking distance to all the village has to offer.
The property is set in a quiet yet convenient part of the village and you are right the air often smells of orange blossom at this time of year. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Fornalutx has been voted the prettiest village in Spain and it lives up to this accolade. It is a 1000-year-old Moorish mountain village with stunning views of the Tramuntana mountains and down the Soller valley with its orange and olive groves to the sea at Port de Soller. Fornalutx is well served with 5 restaurants, 3 café bars, 2 banks, a chemist, a doctor's surgery, hairdressers, a couple of gift shops, a small supermarket, a bakery, a church and a playground and tennis court. A larger selection can be found a short distance away in Soller. Fornalutx is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday whatever the time of year. It makes a perfect base for a walking or cycling holiday or to soak up the ambience of this picture postcard village whilst enjoying the nearby beach resort of Port de Soller and neighbouring cultural town of Soller.
