About the property

Very heart of Cannes, Full Sea And Harbour View

Besides its exceptional location in the very heart of Cannes, this flat offers a large and bright living area with open plan kitchen, with a stunning view on Cannes' vieux port (old port) and the recently-renovated “Quai Saint-Pierre”.

The 2 bedrooms face the opposite side, which is the main pedestrian street of Cannes (Rue Meynadier).

The flat has been renovated early 2014 to meet the standards we want to offer to our guests (please see our other flat ref. 1012962).

This is an ideal place to stay both for congresses and for holiday makers, who both will appreciate that the flat is in the center of Le Suquet (Cannes' hilly old town), so just go walk down a few steps to be surrounded by a multitude of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops.

Note that the apartment is located on the fourth floor of a historical building, without an elevator, therefore it might not be best suited for families with small children or the elderly.

The Palais des Festivals is only a 5 minute walk along the seaside and for those on holiday, the beaches (La Croisette and Plages du Midi) are both less than a 5 minutes walk by the sea side. The Marché Forville is located just behind the flat and we highly recommend a visit there to see the local French vendors selling their cheeses, fruit and veggies, charcuterie, fresh cut flowers and a wide array of French gourmet products.

Shopping is everywhere and Rue Meynaider has everything one could possibly look for: souvenir shops, cheese and wine stores, french bakeries, clothing stores, pharmacies, grocery stores and many, many restaurants to choose from.

So enjoy the restaurants, the old town, the beaches, the shopping or just stay in the comfort of your lovely flat with a glass of champagne and enjoy the full sea view and life in the south of France, from sun rise till sun set.

Dass wir unseren Aufenthalt im März/April 2014 hier so genießen konnten lag auch ganz wesentlich an dem nahezu perfekten Domizil.

Das Appartement ist ideal gelegen, gepflegt und bietet alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. (u. a. sehr komfortable Betten ) Der hervorragende Obst- und Gemüseladen im Erdgeschoss ist eine Augenweide, und auch alles andere was man braucht, gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ebenso ein günstiges Parkhaus.

Nicht zuletzt war unser Gastgeber Alain außerordentlich freundlich, immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit.

Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben.

Great flat in a great location!

Let me start by saying that we really loved this quaint retreat by the sea!

The flat is spacious and filled with light; when you come in after a long day of sightseeing, it is a welcome retreat!

It is nicely appointed and pretty modern with nice sized rooms... and the beds are very comfortable! The neighbors are friendly as well, which was a bonus.

Of course, being on the 4th floor provides an amazing view! It also comes with a considerable hike up the stairs in a non-air-conditioned corridor... but it is well worth it!

In terms of location, the flat is in a prime area - lots of restaurants, bars and shops are nearby, including an open air market which is just steps away. It is also right across from the marina and walking distance to the train station.

Altain was a gracious host and did everything he could to make us comfortable, which we greatly appreciated! He kept in communication with us before, during and after our stay, ensuring that everything went well.

After staying in the flat for 6 nights, it really felt like home; we would definitely stay again!

superb apartment

This was our second visit to the apartment. Everything was perfect, lovely and clean, with all the home from home items you need. We had a super time and never tire of the wonderful views. We ate out every evening in Cannes and had excellent meals, the locals were again very friendly. We hope to return soon, thank you.

Great location in the middle of Cannes with easy access to the shops bars and restaurants. Wonderful view over the marina and sun floods in every morning to start your day. Would recommend to all

Fabulous holiday in Cannes

The best thing about the apartment -- and everything about the apartment is very good -- is the view. I would never tire of looking out at the yacht basin and the Bay of Cannes, the amazing row of South of France residences, and the edge of the beautiful Hotel de Ville. The apartment feels like heaven when the brilliant and reliable Cote d'Azur morning sun streams thirough the French doors on either side of the fireplace and in the evenings when there is an equally reliable magnificent sunset over the bay. The apartment is in a great location. It is a short walk to the Palais, a short walk to the beach; there are restaurants three paces away from the door and many others a few more steps; the fabulous Forville Market is less than a city block away; there are numerous boulangeries, patisseries, grocery stores, bio store, traiteurs, shops of every kind, all a short walk away. The improvements to the apartment are upscale -- a built-in wall of handsome wooden shelves, mirrors in the right places, a sleek, gleaming kitchen, a rainfall shower in the attractive tiled bathroom, a separate tiled room with the toilet. The apartment is tastefully furnished; all the windows have shades; there is heat and air conditioning throughout. The living area is spacious; the bedrooms are comfortable and quiet. Alain is a thoughtful and conscientious host and I loved my month-long stay in his apartment. If you don't mind the stairs -- and I didn't -- I recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Couldn't get a better apartment and view in a great location. Merci beaucoup!

We're so glad we found this place. It really is a gem with excellent wifi, great facilities for our needs, on the doorstep of beaches, restaurants, public transport, sites, shopping. My two teenage boys and I enjoyed watching the world go by from the balcony and lounge area. Would love to return again one day God willing. We went to a different beach each day and took the train to Nice for a day out. Hired bikes from Yourent just a couple of minutes walk on the harbour front. Handy for shopping and daily fruit, veg, cheese etc market just behind the apartment. Thanks Alain and ladies for efficient communication and for a wonderful stay. God bless you all.

Excellent apartment with stunning views

This apartment is very well equipped and very clean. The location is very central with the market 2 mins walk away and also other excellent shops and very good restaurants. The locals are very friendly. We were a family of 4 plus 2 friends and the apartment easily catered for us all. The photos are very true too. Hope to return soon.

This fully renovated apartment is superbly located both for congresses in Cannes' Palais des Festivals as well as for leisurely getaways with beaches and many restaurants right at your doorstep.

Sea Front, Heart of the City, opposite from Cannes Town Hall, 150 meters from the Palais des Festivals, on the main pedestrian street of Cannes (Rue Meynadier), bus terminal in front of building, and Marche Forville just behind the building. Nearest car park is Marche Forville.
