Perfect area of town, a lot of cafes and restaurants near by, so much shopping and the Louvre right down the street. Perfect for groups to do group things or venture off on your own. The apartment is incredibly comfortable with a king bed and sofa, as well as a nice size shower (for american standards) with quick hot water. The owner is very nice and friendly, accomodated us on some last min requests that really made our trip easy and relaxing! I would definitely stay here again, and recommended to everyone.
The apartment was perfect for our family of four. Walking distance to either the Bastille or St. Paul metro which made getting around Paris simple and easy. Ten minute walk to Notre Dame, brasseries and boulangerie everywhere you look. Vince was always easy to communicate with and Patrice was there to get us started. If you need, ask for a personal driver. They got us Karyn, and she was indispensable. Merci!
Layout and location were very good. As has been said, but worth repeating, entrance is on street level, but to get to it you go through an outside door, an inner hallway, an inside courtyard. Except for an occasional siren when we had the windows open, it is totally quiet. Supermarket and two boulangeries within a block - perfect for breakfasts in. The two levels made it interesting. Downstairs was the kitchen, eating area and TV (which we never had on). Up the circular stairway was the very large bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of closet space and open area to really spread out. The place was clean, as advertised, quiet, and in a good location. Good choice.
We stay at this property on August and it was a lovely experience, Roxana was waiting for us in the apartment when we arrive, this flat was located in a really nice, secure and quiet neighborhood, with convenient stores just a few steps from this property, nice park for the kids, good restaurants and close to the metro.
The apartment is small but really smart designer and functional, the sofa in the living room is very comfy, my two daughters sleep really well on in it. (one 15 and 24 years old).
We enjoy our stay in this apartment Roxana was an amazing host.
We enjoyed this apartment which has some charming features and is well-placed for bus, métro, nice walks, and good food-shops, especially the local greengrocer who supplies orange juice freshly squeezed while you wait, the Julien de Savignac wineshop, and a first-rate cheese merchant who is a MOF ('meilleur ouvrier de France'). The apartment is peaceful because it is away from the street and looks on to a garden courtyard.
There were some snags in the apartment. We were more than a little put out to find on arrival that there was neither toilet paper nor soap. The fluorescent light over the sink has a very well-hidden switch. Whoever decided to put a built-in stool beside the bath-tub, with its top proud of the edge of the bath, has created quite a dangerous situation: it is impossible to open the shower-screen fully, so it is quite hard to get past the screen in order to have a shower, and there is no anti-slip provision in the bath-tub. It looks to me like an accident waiting to happen...
Vegetarian and vegan visitors will be pleased to know that there is a 'Naturalia' health food store nearby, and not far from the Place de la Bastille (which itself is very close), on the boulevard de la Bastille, is an excellent vegan restaurant, the 'Gentle Gourmet'.
We stayed here for four days with our two boys. The space worked well for us and the host was incredibly obliging. We'd stay here again.
Shopping, restaurants, pubs, coffees shops, clubs, touristic attractions Has A Few minutes of walking!
