An absolutely stunning modernisation of a traditional Praia da Luz semi-detached villa providing well furnished contemporary open plan living area and designer kitchen, separate laundry room & 3 double bedrooms with built in wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom with shower, separate shower room & first floor cloakroom are fully tiled with ultra modern fixtures & fittings. Both first floor & pool level terraces are day long sun traps & provide two distinctly separate areas for dining and relaxing. To summarise, the spacious accommodation comprises; front garden, enclosed rear garden with pool, laundry room, marbled entrance hall and staircase with inset low level lighting rising up to the large open plan living area with sliding doors leading seamlessly to the large lounge terrace. Cloakroom. Bedrooms and bathrooms are on the cooler lower level, all with electric roller shutters, air conditioning and doors to exterior seating areas. Indoor/outdoor dining for 6/8. 6 pool loungers. Secluded, private pool with heating available. Partial sea views. Air conditioning & room heating. Free Wi-Fi. Off road parking available with further parking available on the road outside.

This deceptively spacious villa has been fully refurbished to combine its traditional quaint exterior with an interior with a contemporary twist! The property now includes many modern conveniences i.e. double glazing, electric shutters, air conditioning and heating, luxury tiled floors and bathrooms throughout. Modern furniture and soft furnishing provide for a very comfortable stay. It is extremely well equipped and has been designed and thoughtfully furnished primarily for the owners use. There are full instructions in the villa for the various appliances and an inventory of contents is available for reference, if required. It is managed locally by professional agents who can be easily contacted for help or information during your stay. Safety equipment and notices i.e. fire extinguishers, first aid kit have been fitted to the villa to comply with the Local Lodging Licence requirements. N. o Registro do alojamento 9 de 04/02/14. Located in a quiet position, yet within an easy walk of all local facilities, the beach and sea front restaurants can be reached via shady pathways in fewer than 5 minutes. The bus stop is at the top of the road (2 minutes’ walk) and the main taxi rank, supermarkets, delicatessens and bakery are all within easy walking distance. In addition Baptista and Spa supermarkets both offer a home delivery service. Beach towels & goods are sold at the various shops in Luz. Shopping is well catered for in Lagos with numerous individual shops & a daily fish market. Guia indoor retail centre is approx. 45 minutes’ drive.

No need to cook! Numerous restaurants both along the sea front and tucked away to choose from. There are a selection of takeaways incl. traditional Portuguese/Mediterranean/South African//Italian/Indian & Chinese, if you prefer to eat in. Lots of different bars including Junction 24, Barrroca, the beach bar and the Mirage bar. More extensive and recommended nightlife for youngsters (and the not so young!) in Lagos. A full information folder with details of restaurants, bars, local activities, market days, taxis etc. is available in the villa.

Recommend Sunday Jazz lunch or a drink anytime at the Fortaleza restaurant garden with beautiful sea views, a cliff top walk to Lagos or quaint Burgau, kayaking to the grottos of Lagos, casual lunch or sunset dinner at the beach restaurants of either Burgau, Salema or Meia Praia, Lagos. Numerous other activities include tennis courts available to hire locally, horse riding at Tiffany's, off road safaris, river boat trips from Portimao, day trips to the charming mountain village of Monchique, surfing, wind surfing, boat trips, deep sea fishing trips, walking and cycling. Visit the cultural towns of Lagos and Silves - and of course play golf!!

Golf is well catered for with Boavista golf resort 5 minutes drive away. For non golfers - day or half day visitor membership is available at reasonable prices for Boavista spa, where beauty treatments are available to book and includes use of the state of the art gym, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and sunbathing terrace.Boavista has a luxurious clubhouse and restaurant with terrace overlooking the 18th green and is open to visitors for drinks and meals. There is also a large choice of golf courses all within 30 minutes drive

Brilliant villa!

The location of the villa is fantastic, we were able to walk into the small town in minutes, this meant that we did not use the hire car a lot when going out for meals in the evenings. The villa was well equipped, and very modern. The pool was lovely and just the right size for us. We have already booked to come next year!

Stylish, comfortable villa in a great location

The villa is in a great position, no car needed. We could walk to the beautiful sandy beach, numerous restaurants and supermarkets. The attention to detail in the villa was amazing and it was better equipped than my own home! We particularly liked the different seating areas, secluded pool and vast the vast DVD collection to suit all tastes.

Even though there was air-conditioning it was rarely needed as the villa stays cool and comfortable. I would like to visit the area at a different time of year and would not hesitate in staying at Villa 10.

Outstanding Villa

This is our 5th year staying in this superb villa. The villa is ideally located near the shops, restaurants and just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The villa is well equipped. All the rooms are spotless and the facilities are perfect. The swimming pool can be heated, if required, and is suitable for all ages.

Nothing is too much trouble for Tracy or Luisa at the management company.

I would highly recommend this villa to family and friends. As the villa is so close to numerous restaurants you have a wide variety to choose from. The Onda Luz Restaurant at the top of the road is our favourite, followed by the A'Concha on the beach front. Lagos is just a 10 minute taxi ride away and we also enjoy walking to Burgau which is a pleasant 45 minute countryside walk.

Superb comfortable villa

This is our third 3 month stay at number 10 and that really says it all, well furnished and equipped and kept to the high standards that we first saw 3 years ago. A very relaxing villa to stay in and nothing is too much trouble for the owner Tracy or the 'on site' management team. Thank you all again for a wonderful 3 month stay.

The villa is exceptional and without a doubt we hope to return in the near future and would highly recommend it to all.

It's peaceful setting and all the facilities the villa offers commands total relaxation, it's close proximity to a superb beach and numerous bars and restaurant choices to please all tastes, what more could you ask from a vacation.

It was such a pleasure to deal with Tracey from our initial contact through to returning home ( sadly) and it's a joy to see the accommodation is better than the pictures & description portray.

Praia da Luz is a charming, quiet resort with a short promenade, soft sand beach, stunning cliffs and water sports. The villas and apartments here blend perfectly with the original white-washed village of Luz. There’s an ever increasing choice of bars & restaurants, some of which directly overlook the beach and the sea, ideal for a quick snack, lazy lunch or romantic evening meal.

Ideal for families and couples, this elegant resort offers a relaxing holiday ambience with beautiful cliff top walks to nearby Lagos and Burgau and beyond. The historic city of Lagos is only 6km away and is becoming an increasingly sophisticated resort with massive investment in the marina and waterfront areas. There is a great choice of shops, restaurants and bars in Lagos throughout the year. Frequent bus services operate on a daily basis from Luz to Lagos and from Luz to its neighbouring pretty beach resort of Burgau. Local taxis also offer competitive rates.

Typical Algarve holiday activities available locally and within a short distance of Praia da Luz are golf, tennis, a visit to Zoomarine, various water sports, water parks, dolphin spotting, health & fitness centres and the famous Alvor sand sculptures. There are various companies which offer buggy or jeep tours and hire motorbikes, mopeds or cycles. Surf schools are well represented in the area, the nearest in Lagos and Burgau. Praia do Armado in the less populated stunning western Algarve is approximately 40 minutes’ drive. This is Portugal’s premier surfing beach and the venue for many national and international body-boarding and surfing competitions, again with its own surf school on site.

The Algarve Motor Park complex is within 30 mins drive and offers Go Karting on a full size Go Kart circuit. The complex hosts various motor sport events during the year on its international race circuit. Cycling both on and off the road is well catered for in the area including the Ecovia do Algarve cycling coastal route. There are number of National park areas, wonderful for walking and enjoying the wildlife and wild flowers, particularly in the Spring. Try some of the 186 mile walking route, which starts near the Spanish border across the interior of the Algarve to Cap St Vincent in the far west.

Why not visit Adega do Canto vineyard near Guia and taste Cliff Richard’s Vida Nova wine, which is produced on site.

The historic market town of Silves with its castle, one of the best preserved of the Moorish fortifications in Portugal is also within 30 mins drive. Both Lisbon and Seville are possible day trips by car.

At the last count there were 22 golf complexes, 35 separate courses and over 585 widely differing holes to play along the south coast of the Algarve! All of the Algarve's courses are open to visitors, most require handicap certificates, but it is possible to play in the Algarve without. All insist on a dress code. The nearest golf complex is a mere 5 minute drive. Designed by Howard Swan, Boavista is a stunning golf course with panoramic views towards Praia da Luz and over Lagos Bay and beyond. The complex includes a driving range, golf tuition, tennis courts to hire, a fabulous spa and a good restaurant and bar with splendid views - all open to visitors. 10 minutes from the villa is Espiche golf course, which has recently opened and the club house and surrounding villas are still under construction, but here you’ll find a spectacular and challenging golf course where nature abounds. This challenging 18-hole, par 72 course offers superb rolling terrain that blends into the Algarve landscape. Its lakes, streams and indigenous planting add to the enrichment and biodiversity of the area. The course is surrounded by beautiful open countryside with views of vineyards and the Monchique Mountains in the distance. 5862 meters (6411 yards) from the back tees and several other options make the course enjoyable for the casual and serious golfer alike. For those who want to sharpen up their games, their driving range offers grass tees.

There are numerous additional golf courses within 20 minutes’ drive and many others up to and including the stunning courses at Quinta and Vale de Lobo all within a maximum one hour's drive. Most courses offer twilight fees and various promotions are usually available during the year.
