Ramsden Farm Oast House - Beautifully Converted in Kentish Countryside.
average rating of 5.0 based on 2 reviews

A wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in the Oast House.

It's a cosy place with all facilities available.

It offers places to sit in the sun (close to the hot tub) and the paddock also provides shadow spots if needed. Two wonderful loungechairs makes you even forget the world for a while.

The Oast House is a perfect base to explore Kent:

- Canterbury: The Cathedral (car parking at Pound Lane);

- Chartwell (former residence of Churchill);

- Penshurst place and gardens;

- Kent East-Sussex Railway to Bodium Castle;

- Ashford Designer Outlet;

- Ashford County Square Shopping Centre;

- Chapel Down Vineyard;

Good places to eat:

- The Swan at Chapel Down in Small Hythe;

- Hunny Beez in Tenterden.

Wij zijn helaas hier niet geweest omdat mijn man een ongeluk heeft gehad en wij het huis afzegden

  • 5 of 5

Car: necessary

Lovely location in the heart of Kent, close to the tree lined town of Tenterden. Although a 10 minute drive you will find a great selection of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. A steam railway to Bodiam Castle is a memorable trip. A very good Thai/Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant/bar is a short walk. The Bull at Bethersden just 1 mile away also offers good food and has a nice pub garden. Ashford is a 10 minute drive and offers a designer outlet and a good town centre for shopping. Sissinghurst Gardens, Leeds and Dover castles are all within a 30 minute drive as is the sea.

• Seaside 25 min by car

• Tenterden and Ashford 10 mins by car

• London by train from Ashford, 37 minutes
