Free standing traditional Chalet with private enclosed garden, BBQ, balcony.

This unique traditional Swiss chalet set 100m from Lake Brienz brings a feeling of tranquility and privacy as you settle down to your well earned break. The chalet is free standing with a private enclosed garden, BBQ outside seating for 4. Ideal as a family or small groups getaway.

Traditional chalet with 70 square metre balcony over looking the spectacular Lake Brienz. The top floor of the chalet has a double bedroom, open plan kitchen, lounge and inside dining for 4 leading out onto the balcony. The balcony has lounge and dining seating for 4, perfect to enjoy breakfast at sunrise or a glass of wine as you take in the amazing alpine glow sunset.

Please note this en-suite bedroom on the ground floor of the chalet is accessed from the outside stairwell.

The chalet has been furnished to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen, iron, ironing board, washing machine, hairdryer, TV, DVD player, board games, books, children's toys and books. The chalet has private parking and a large enclosed garden.

The chalet is accessible from Interlaken Ost train station by either an enjoyable 15 minute bike ride, 5 minute bus ride, 40 minute walk along the river, taxi or by car.

villa with a lovely view

A lovely villa with a spectacular view of the lake. Just 6 - 8 mins by bus from Interlaken Ost station. It away from the bustle of the city centre yet very easily accessible by bus or car. It takes just 10 mins to reach the town centre. The kitchen was well equipped. The only draw back was the steep climb of abot 100 - 125m to the villa from the main road (which can be offset by the spectacular view) and the bedroom on level 1 was bit cramped.

Overall I will surely recommend the villa and the lovely host Juliet.

very nice stay beautiful view

the place was clean and have a very nice balcony the stay went with no problem but a sign on the second room out side the main entrance read privet put a ? and had to be cleared the next day i give it 9,5 out of 10

Beautiful sanctuary

Fantastic property, exactly as described. While inside the chalet is smallish, it has everything you need and enough space to accommodate a couple or a family with young children. We were there with our 12 and 10 year olds who had a lovely time. They loved the backyard and the bikes. The deck is huge. A great spot to sit and take in the amazing views with a glass of wine. Juliet is a fantastic host. Very proactive with customer service, even offering activity ideas. I highly recommend this property to people who like to stay somewhere a bit quieter. Make sure you take the easy walk along the lake. It's beautiful.

Interlaken and Bönigen are a massive outdoor adventure base, similar to that of Queenstown in New Zealand. Paragliding, Skydiving, Canyoning, Rafting, Ice Climbing, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Fly Fishing, Mountain Biking, Hang gliding, Bungy Jumping, Canyon Jumping are activities available during the summer. Paragliding, Skydiving, Hiking, Hang gliding, Canyon Jumping, sledding, snow-shoeing, skiing and snowboarding are activities available during the winter. For the less adventurous and families there heaps of famous train journeys, boat rides on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz and lots of day that include amazing playing parks. There are children friendly hiking routes, with bbq spots on the way. The 1st of August is National Swiss Day. The day has continuous events, parades and is capped of with one off with a brilliant fireworks at 10pm followed by live bands. Basically Interlaken has so much to do, I am still working my through the list. The safety, simple style of life and beauty of the place is why I feel lucky to live here. I truly cannot recommend it enough.
