ATTRACTIONS:

The advantage of being in the heart of Ash Point means you are ideally located between Erica’s seafood, the Dolphin Marina, The Veggie corner, various galleries and Harpswell Land Trust Trails.

You will go over the ONLY Crib Stone Bridge in the world to get to Orrs & Bailey Island, see historic Mackerel cove which is a perfect spot to go to watch the fishing world at work, one of Maine’s most prized industries and attractions.

Quaint downtown Brunswick, home of Bowdoin College, is just 20 minutes away. Bowdoin College offers a gem of an art gallery and The Maine State Music Theatre, with a lineup of musicals waiting to inspire you.

Brunswick holds a variety of experiences in the downtown area to include: 2 farmers markets a week on the downtown common, food trucks, concerts, antique shops and eateries.

Plenty of shopping awaits you at Cook's Corner, Topsham Fair Mall, Downtown Brunswick & - of course - the shops in Freeport including the infamous LL Bean's - open 365 days a year/ 24 hours a day.

On the other side of Brunswick, just a stone’s throw away, there is Thomas Point with its sprawling lawns and beaches - a venue that hosts concerts, campsites and attractions that are fun for children and adults alike.

As you travel further along Route 1 and into Bath, there are more attractions to be enjoyed; It is an easy ride to Reid State Park and Fort Popham – great places to enjoy & explore.

If you are looking for even more adventure and beauty, Maine has it in boundless amounts. Perhaps you will want to take day trips to further explore the coast. The Cottage @ AshPoint is centrally located so that you are within a day’s ride from other Maine attractions that line the coast such as Old Orchard Beach, Downtown Portland, Boothbay Harbor or Acadia National Park located in Bar Harbor.

As your day draws to an end – you will look forward to hunkering down to a good meal and a restful sleep at The Cottage @ AshPoint after each day packed full of memories.

With so much to offer- The Cottage @ AshPoint will surely beckon you back year after year.

Nice Getaway
We had a great week's long stay at this property that is off the beaten path in a quiet community. The property was fully stocked with everything you would need. A quick walk down the street offered a public spot where the kids fished and skipped rocks. People walking by were very friendly. Just a thing to note if you are tall is that the house does not have tall ceilings. I would definitely recommend if you are a family looking to explore all around Maine.
