About this property

Escape the big city, park your car, walk and bike everywhere!

This is our dream home and community. We are literally one block from town and surprisingly secluded on a little known section of Sherman Avenue.

No expense was spared in building this brand new home.

After a year of not renting because of COVID we are back, vaccinated, ready to provide a sanitized safe environment and looking forward to 2022.

Hood River Certificate/License No. 674

New Parklane king-size bed that actually splits into two twins. Just ask for us to split them. Its no problem.

The space is open, airy and partially sub-terrain. The room naturally stays a cool and even temperature. Even though it is set back into the hillside you are elevated from the road which gives you a better view and sense of privacy.

You have your own private entrance and completely separate living quarters. You are not sharing your space.

Jon loves to kite, windsurf, road bike, mountain bike, hike, dirt bike, snowmobile, snowboard, alpine ski, cross country ski, snowshoe, SUP and kayak.

Nancy is learning how to kite, does yoga every day, road bikes, hikes, cross country skis, snowshoes, kayak's and SUP's.

Just let us know what you'd like to do when you're here. We'll let you know where to go and/or just plan an adventure with you.

We have room for you to store your bikes, boards, etc., hot water to hose stuff off and a great place to let your wetsuits hang dry.

We've owned this lot since 1991. It had another home on it that was rented and a favorite for visitors because of its location. We just underwent a 2+ year demolition and rebuild. Many of those who stayed at our old home are now permanent Hood River residents. This new home is WAY better.

Very nice, but no windows! No natural light or fresh air.
It really was a nice space, besides the fact that we always sleep with a window open, and this space only had the glass front door, and one small window that was filled with an AC unit. Nothing we could open for fresh air at night! And barely any natural light, if we wanted the door curtains closed for privacy (doors open onto the road, so we generally needed them closed). The first night we slept with the very loud AC on, as well as a terribly loud ceiling fan. It was pretty awful for both of us, noise wise. The last two nights, we figured out how to put the AC unit on fan-only, which was more tolerable for sleeping, and skipped the ceiling fan altogether. The little mini-fridge had a basically unusable freezer; it was so overcrusted with ice I could barely fit an ice pack from my cooler in there. Two people could hardly share the tiny shower as well. We could also hear every time the owner in the unit above flushed the toilet, or when their phone rang, etc. It was a bit surprising to feel that intimate with them. Other than that, the stay was great. The building itself is very beautiful, the space was clean and had everything we needed. We met the owner the first day and he was friendly and nice.

Great stay!
We were in town for a wedding and had a great stay! After exploring the surrounding areas, we quickly realized we were staying in the best location. Close to hiking trails, shops, restaurants, and the Fruit Loop! Had a nice, big breakfast at Bette’s :)
