Guestbook comments from the owner

These are comments via email we received from guests from Chicago:

Hi Sharon & Phil -

Thank you so much for the wonderful vacation lake house. It was far more than we expected. The backyard was just like being on some estate, and the inside was so homey and cute. I especially loved all the blankets here and there, and the view from the upstairs TV Room / loft.

I have to work on getting some of the kids to make the long trip again - but I am all for it. I will also recommend your place to anyone who asks me. It is a great house, lake, property, and town for a family getaway. If it helps, I can type words like these for others to see either into the website or wherever you like.

Great place to get away!

  • 4 of 5

This is a great place to get away from it all. It's very secluded from the neighbors. The home and yard are very spacious. It was great to have a gas grill as we ate all our meals at the cabin. The fire pit near the lake is also an added bonus. The lake is beautiful and quiet. Unfortunately, there is no swimming off the dock because of Lilly pads, but there is a paddle boat offered, so we took that out to the swimming pad. Sandy was easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions. Would definitely consider returning!

Beautiful, secluded lake home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely secluded home. We traveled with five adults, one toddler, and a dog, and enjoyed the lake, the deck and firepit. The house is set up well for a group, with plenty of sleeping areas and two bathrooms. We enjoyed dinner out in Akeley, Park Rapids and Walker. We'd recommend this to friends!

Perfect 4th of July weekend!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property!! There were 3 adults and one child in our group. My Dad has been sick and said the weekend here helped him "heal". The house is beautiful as is the lake. We didn't have a boat but had a couple kayaks and a paddle board and it was perfect for us. We used the fire pit by the house each night and it was a perfect spot for smores! We will definitely be back!

peaceful & fun

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this peaceful, secluded lake house. There are no neighbors in sight; and the lake setting is in the bay, so there is no wake or loud noisy motoring by this house. We enjoyed laying on the floating raft in the bay, and brought our boat to boat around and fish on Crow Wing 11. Good fishing lake. We also enjoyed many fires in both their firepits, and played games inside during one rainy day. What a great location and an overall peaceful, restful environment. We'll be back!

WOW - what a wonderful place to vacation! So much to do. We went paddleboating, swimming (great swimming raft in the bay off the lake), fishing, had campfires, grilled, and went biking on the trails. Thank you also for the games and movies in the house, great evening activities. We will absolutely be back again and again!

What a wonderful spot! We vacationed here last year. Saw baby loons floating with their mother and father on the lake. Fishing is great - caught several walleyes! We really enjoyed having a fire by the lake and just relaxing. It was so quiet and the sky is unbelievable. You can see millions of stars in this northern sky!

We are hoping to get back to northern MN and stay at this great place again this August!

So much to do in this area; if you desire to escape your private, relaxing get-away. Local town has a hometown live theatre event (WoodTick theatre). Many local eating, entertainment and recreation establishments nearby. Enjoy your stay, surroundings and time away from home!
