Had a very pleasant time at this lovely gite in the country. Lots to see in the area. Friendly welcoming host. Pity we were not there in the summer to use the pool but the wood fire was great.
Lovely Gite in a beautiful location
My husband and i plus 2 teenage children had a great time at this Gite. You would definately need a car here as there is nothing within walking distance but because of this it is so peaceful. The Gite is really well equipped and clean and pool a great bonus. Madame Ghion and her family were very helpful and friendly. All in all a great stay which we would recommend to others.
We thank you very much and you are definitively welcome!
Perfect “escape from it all” holiday
We had an absolutely wonderful week in this gite. If you are looking for total peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings then this is the perfect holiday accommodation for you. We had a lovely welcome from the owner who was always very friendly and helpful and always available should you require anything. The gite was very spacious and incredibly clean. It had all the amenities you could possibly want and more. The area is close to some great little restaurants and plenty of wonderful places to walk. There is also an artisan boulangerie about 2km away. You also have your own private pool which was essential for us as we have two children so kept them entertained plus we experienced incredibly high temperatures the week we stayed so it was perfect after a day of site seeing to just have a refreshing dip. If you are looking for total peace and quiet and a relaxing retreat this is the place for you. You can sit in your own private garden in the evening listening to the sound of crickets and watching the deer in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Will definitely be returning. One word of advice is to make sure you read the rental contract carefully as you will need to pay a deposit in cash upfront when you arrive this is to cover any damage which may occur. There are also additional charges for cleaning of property, water, electric, bed linen and towels which are deducted from that deposit when you vacate. This is just a formality which needs to be dealt with as soon as you arrive and was done all very amicably. All in all a wonderful stay which will hold very happy memories for us.

We thank you very much and we shall be very happy to see all ofn you in another time !
Having stayed in June 2018. A great welcome on arrival. Great quiet location, good places to eat within a short drive. Pool was great. One small problem during stay, but our host's sorted this in the best time. Give is a great s size, Bbq was great. Would recommend this to anyone. Even now have suggested all my friends try h e 're. Will be going back.
My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of September with our three year old son. Right from the start we knew we would be comfortable. Martine was so helpful and went out of her way to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfy, the shower was powerful and we had great wifi and satellite tv. The pool was very cold but perfect after a day out sightseeing in the heat and our son had a ball splashing around and playing in the garden.
We loved this place and will be returning next year!
The family took both gites. Spotlessly clean on arrival and Martine welcomed us nicely. A welcome pack too including some paté and wine! the gites are remote but a real bonus is the lack of any mechanical noise at all. comfort was very good, all equipment worked well including the needed AC ! The pools were good and warm enough. my only comment would be that if you wanted a new fresh loaf of bread you have to drive quite a long way to get some! The Gites are set in a very large garden and new umbrella was supplied while we were there - not necessary but nice! Also a brand new table tennis table was installed outside which was very appreciated.
All in all a lovely place to stay and one we would not hesitate to recommend - but be happy with the peace and quiet!
Many thanks Peter, and if you want to have quiet and peace in wintertime thinks to us, you stay welcome here !

This is the "human nation" as like to say the natives, which can end up so well. This is the region of good French living
Glide nonchalantly over the water, aboard these traditional boats called "barges" and admire the valley that has kept over time all its magic, green leafy tops stands out against the intense blue the sky and the yellow-straw called limestone limestone paths brightens brown-ocher land and vine. The charm remains unwavering in this country where time seems to stand still and where Charles Baudelaire certainly find here the illustration of his invitation to travel ... "where everything is calm, luxury and pleasure ..."
This region is marked in prehistoric times by the Cro-Magnon who lived there and left us many testimonies of astonishing just as interesting as the Cave of Lascaux.
The Middle Ages with its hundred year old war in turn brings its innumerable castles that invite you to revisit history. Check out these proud unchanged houses that defy time.
The Purple Perigord is the land of wine. Stroll in the heart of the vineyards, see these grapes bursting with sunshine that magically offer you these "Pecharmant, Montravel, Bergerac and Monbazillac other."
Numerous stalls offer farmers products of excellent qualities: goose foie gras and duck, truffles (black diamond of Perigord) and porcini mushrooms so delicately that adorn many culinary preparations. The nut and its derivatives such as oil, mustard and vinegar will offer a range of subtle flavors and local cheeses such as "stubble", the "cabecou" and "hatch Echourgnac" will delight your taste buds.
You will understand, this is the place for anyone who wants to offer a change of scenery due to lifestyle and wellness. This context can escape the epicureans eager for a well deserved break and looking for a "return to the source" as needed today in our society where time keeps galloping.
