The total surface is about 120m² (2 floors). The owner does not accept young people in groups larger than four. The house is built in stones (visible), typical for the region. It is modern, tidy, detached, tiled and has parquet on the floor. Equipment: satellite television (French and German channels), DVD player, Hi-Fi stereo system, internet access (Wi-Fi included), washing machine, iron and ironing board, central heating and hot water. Storage room (outdoor access).

About Bodennec

My wife and I decided to restore the old body of an 18th century seaside farm in Plounéour-Trez, the community where we both grew up. Completing this project took us two full years. We are very proud of the result that perfectly combines the old fashion, naturally yellow coloured stones on the outside and the modernity of the inside. Traditional furniture from Brittany provides the final touch. The pool cover allows an optimal use: on the hottest of summer days it allows reaching an inside temperature of 30 degrees and above, while the water temperature is about 28 degrees. We (my wife, my son and I) renovated this property completely on our own.

Why Bodennec chose Plounéour-Trez

We are passionate about Breton architecture because we are pure Bretons: Breton is also the name of the language we speak. We are very attached to this region that boasts an exceptional culture and diversity.

The house is close to the sea. We fish (shellfish, seashells, shrimps, abalone, oysters…) during low tide, as well fish with rods (bass, pollock…) from a boat during high tide. In this area, life is good all year-round. We enjoy a moderate climate thanks to the Gulf Stream. This is a warm water current at mid-depth, allowing us to maintain a winter temperature of about 8 to 10 degrees. Contemplating the sea every day becomes addicting very quickly. Even more so when you can see the sky colours reflected in the water, giving it a blue colour when the weather is good, or a grey when the clouds roll in. We love our Brittany so much that we plan to never leave it for some other heaven. That is why we want to share this place with people who don't know Brittany yet, and who will consequently leave with an imperishable souvenir.

What makes this house unique

In here you will find peace in the wild beauty of a place that stayed untouched by pollution. Fine sandy beaches witness the complexity of the phenomenon of high and low tides. The beach uncovering itself for a distance of 5km during the 6 hours of low tide… 4 times every 24 hours… infinitely. With shellfish tasting, the fish diversity, and our Breton fine meat delicacies, this region will charm your papilla. Many water sports (kite surfing, land sailing, sea kayaking, sailing, swimming) are available. The discovery of our isles will give you the opportunity to appreciate our beloved Brittany.
