Best kept secret in Vermont
I had a marvelous stay in Monroe. Cozy interiors, great location and some excellent dining too. Must recommend the rental's Pizza Pub for the Farm to Fire brick oven pizza and some diverse drafts. Very reasonably priced too for a popular ski area. My only qualm is that the pub closes a little too early for my schedule.
Enjoyed our stay
Good location to travel to different area to see fall foliage
The Connecticut River wasn’t as close to backyard as thought to be.
We would stay again. 👍
Great place, fun time
We were 2 couples - old college friends, attending the Peacham Acoustic Musical Festival for the third year together. It was an easy drive over to Peacham, and this was a great place to come back to and hang out. The general store was handy and provided all we needed for a great meal on the deck. We plan to come back!
The nice and quiet area was just what was needed after a long day of work.
Short walk to the Connecticut River and Vermont. General store in the front of the building. I drove to river kayaking and mountain hiking trails. Host lives nearby and was helpful in identifying local events. Comfortable living with wide plank floors and private, screened in porch.
Joe was a wonderful guest. He left the residence in very clean condition. Love to have him stay with us again!
Very nice place in a convenient location.
Owner is a very nice guy. The place was very homey and is conveniently located behind a nice country store. Will definitely go back next year.
Well equipped Monroe Country Store with deli serving cold cuts, grab and go, cooked breakfast sandwiches, hot lunch and dinner options plus an excellent beer and wine selection.
Next door is Farm To Fire wood-fired pizza (this is our business - the vrbo landlord). Farmtofire.pizza or on FB @farm2fire
