About Apartment Châtel: Le Brin du Muguet

We are an international family who loves good things. We love our home country but we also love travelling and discovering. We are demanding with the accommodation and when you often go back somewhere, you dream of having your own pied-à-terre. We love comfort and cleanliness, the local charm as well as the decoration, the gastronomy and the many activities. We discovered Châtel thanks to friends from Brussels and we felt so good there that we wanted to have our own base. A 2-bedroom apartment with significant surface area and good orientation and location is pretty rare in the sales market of Châtel. Our apartment had all these assets but was not suitable for today’s requirements. So we fully renovated the apartment: we rebuilt the outside walls with high insulation panels, plumbing and electricity are brand new and there are quality materials that respect the local charm. We worked with local craftsmen and with the inspiration of Spanish friends who live in Brussels and Torino, decoration experts.

Why Apartment Châtel: Le Brin du Muguet chose Portes du Soleil area

This small village respects the local tradition but has evolved with its time. It is located in the heart of the largest ski area of Europe, between Switzerland and France, and is easily accessible so you can use it as a base to enjoy a wide choice of trips and activities: 30 min from Montreux and its famous festival, 1 h from Gruyère, the medieval city of Yvoir, swimming in Lake Léman, trip in Italy by its lakes or simply hiking in the mountain that start from the apartment. The village and the region offer a wide choice of gastronomy. We wish we could go every day at Le Fiacre, in the heart of the village but you have many other possibilities. The centre Forme d’O that opened its doors in July 2014 is the cherry on the cake. People on site are very nice. In summer, the abundance of flowers is splendid.

What makes this apartment unique

Charm, infrastructures, large ski areas, nearby Lake Léman, cinema in the centre of the village, restaurants, sport and relaxation centre and quality products offered by local shopkeepers and at the village market.

Lovely apartment with great views

We had a great stay in this apartment. It was beautifully decorated, warm, very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment was about a 10 minute walk from chatel town and there was also a ski bus stop very nearby. There were also lovely views from the balcony. The owner responded quickly to any queries and was very helpful. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in this area!

Thoroughly enjoyable stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. This was important because there were many days of rain when we could not ski. It was important to have a roomy and pleasant apartment. Everything was exactly as described and pictured online. The apartment had clearly recently been refurbished and redecorated. The kitchen was equipped with every possible new appliance. We had not realized that the building stood on the main road through town, but once you were inside, traffic noise was not a problem. The skibus stopped close by, but it is also useful to have a car available. It was very pleasant to deal with the owner. A fairly hefty deposit was required, but it was returned immediately upon departure. Everything was perfect and we would certainly recommend it.

Appartement très propre et très agréable. Bien équipé avec une décoration très soignée qui nous fait penser être dans un chalet. De plus les équipements sont d'une grande qualité ainsi que ceux pour bébé. En bref, un lieu idyllique dans un cadre idyllique....

An excellent apartment in a great location, just a few minutes walk to restaurants and bars.

The apartment was very modern, well decorated and equipped with everything you would need! Booking process was very easy and the owner is available to answer questions promptly.

Heimelige Wohnung in den Bergen

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und funktionell eingerichtet. Die Dekoration wurde mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgewählt.

Die Ausstattung der Küche ist für eine Ferienwohnung einzigartig.

Einziger Wehrmutstropfen ist die enge Toilette.

Magnifique location à Châtel

Idéalement situé dans la commune de Chatel, cet appartement est le top que ce soit au niveau décoration et confort, mais aussi au niveau des équipements : rien ne manque ! L'état de propreté (locaux,vaisselle, électroménager, sanitaires,...) est impeccable ! Le grand balcon permet de prendre ses repas face à la montage et avec vue sur le village situé à 800 plus en hauteur. Idem à travers la baie vitrée quand le temps ne permet pas d'être dehors. L'immeuble est calme. La communication avec le propriétaire a été très bonne.

En dehors de l'appartement, Chatel vous comblera par ses activités sportives très variées (de la randonnée pédestre ou VTT au Fantasticable, en passant par le centre aquatique et de remise en forme) et aussi par sa richesse gastronomique. Les restaurants sont nombreux, dans une gamme de prix variée mais toujours abordable. L'accueil y est très chaleureux.

Bref : allez-y !!!
