Just steps away from Bloomington's courthouse square, Baker Place is a large 2800 square foot apartment in the center of downtown. Perfectly located near Kirkwood and Walnut Street, Baker Place is surrounded by local shops, galleries, restaurants and bars and is just a few blocks from Indiana University's Sample Gates.
This historic property was completely remodeled in 2006 and was professionally designed and decorated. Baker Place is an upscale property featuring 13 foot ceilings, 100 year old oak floors and displays photos and paintings for sale by local artists. Enjoy the privacy and historic stateliness, while being seconds from the energy and action of this college town's nightlife and activities.
The full kitchen featuring stainless appliances and granite countertops adjoins the large living room and is perfect for family reunions, rehearsal dinners and couples weekend getaways back to idyllic Downtown Bloomington.
We hosted my brothers bachelor party/gathering here, it is well suited for large groups. The Condo has many great features and has been tastefully restored. There was plenty of space for our guest. The location is the best part. We had no problem finding food and entertainment. I would recommend the Baker Place to anyone with a large group looking for a convenient location.
Stayed here over a long weekend with some fellow alumni. We were looking for a large, renovated space that could fit all of us while being close to campus and downtown. We looked forever but couldn't seem to find anything that was modern until we came across Baker Place. Not only was the space large enough to sleep everyone comfortably but the appliances were all brand new, the art work was curated with impeccable taste and we could come and go as we please without having to worry about bothering neighbors as it is situated above a knitting/yarn store. If you're looking for an opportunity to come back and relive some glory days in style, you couldn't do much better than this space.
We had six plus family members coming in for an Indiana University event. The condo is wonderful! It
is walking distance from everything, very clean, comfortable beds and plenty of space. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom. The kitchen was huge and we enjoyed watching the final four basketball on the wide screen tv in the living room. The owner is very easy to deal with and accessible. I just wish we had found out about this place earlier.
While it has been several months since we stayed, our "crew" can't imagine a better place to stay while in Bloomington. Ron did an excellent job of making us feel at home and the property, amenities, and location are all top notch. We'll certainly make Baker Place our priority "stay" for any future visits!
