About Kathleen Pettorsson
Hi! We are Kathy and Colin Pettorsson and we live in Littlestown, PA which is 8 miles from the Outlets At Gettysburg and 9 miles from historic Gettysburg itself. We enjoy hiking and exploring Gettysburg more so now that we are retired. :-) I am originally from Baltimore but have lived in many other places and states such as New York and Florida. Colin originates from New Jersey and moved here to Littlestown when we were married 7 years ago in our more golden years. Ha! Ha! We also enjoy traveling and our most recent trips were to Italy, England, and Ireland. I had intended to be a college Art teacher but ended up with my third degree in Computer Science and actually landed my first "real" job in my early thirties at IBM and have worked as a engineer for almost 40 years before retiring in January 2017. Go figure! Colin's background is interesting as he worked for AT&T for most of his career before taking early retirement then teaching in an all girls Catholic High School in Wachung NJ. Since marrying me he had been working part time as a school bus driver. We tell ourselves everyday how fortunate we are to live here because we have the benefits of rural life but also the closeness to Gettysburg with all that it has to offer as well as to Washington DC, Baltimore and Harrisburg. Some of our favorite places in Gettysburg are the Majestic Theatre and Mamma Ventura restaurant and Garryowen Irish Pub. We absolutely love to go down to Little Italy in Baltimore and especially Germano's Piattini with the excellent food and performing artists at the Cabaret!
Kathleen Pettorsson purchased this House in 2005
Why Kathleen Pettorsson chose Littlestown
We are excited to rent out this immaculate, comfortable and cozy apartment which is more like a small house as it offers the comfort and relaxing atmosphere that we look for when we travel and stay in VRBOs while vacationing. Having lived here for 18 years I have come to appreciate what a terrific location this little town of Littlestown is as we go to Gettysburg most weekends for any of the multiple things there are to do there. This is one of the best historical sites anywhere in the country with reenactors, personal battlefield tours, self guided auto tours, open air bus tours.... One of the hidden gems in Gettysburg in the Majestic Theatre. So many great shows and music not to mention the small intimate move theaters it houses with many movies that are vey interesting and don't always make it to the big movie theaters. Gettysburg has many good restaurants and one of our favorites and go to places in Momma Ventura's on Chambersburg Street.
What makes this House unique
Not only is this property quiet and comfortable it offers the relaxing views of the courtyard looking out trees and country setting of the neighborhood I love. I fell in love with this street as it reminded me of the one I grew up on where the neighbors knew each other and were there if needed. In August for the Littlestown Good Old Days we are lucky enough to have the antique cars line our street creating a festive and fun atmosphere as most of the town holds their yard sales and Crouse Park just a block away has craft, antique and food vendors while the community groups put on entertainment. The night before all this occurs we even have our own fireworks! Small town USA at it best!

As good as could be.
Reserving the property was flawless. Communication from the owner was on time and very complete. House was as described and was immaculate. We will stay here again!
Delightful stay at the Cottage
We really enjoyed the Cottage for comfort, quality, decor, variety of spaces, quiet neighborhood, friendly owners and service man.
My husband uses a walker and was able to get around easily.
Thank you for your review. We are so happy you and Jim enjoyed your stay and that the shower door maintenance went smoothly.
It was a pleasure meeting you both.

This place is top notch. The pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed our Christmas here and they even had a small tree to decorate. It was clean and fully stocked. We even got to put our car in the garage. What a treat in cold weather. We enjoyed the gas fireplace in the enclosed sunroom, made our meals in the kitchen and did some laundry in the nice size bathroom. The layout is nice with one bedroom, kitchen/dinning, living room, bathroom and porch. We didn't even use the basement. We hope to return in the spring.
