This ground floor apartment is one of six at Summerland Villas. It is tucked away in its own tropical gardens enjoying privacy and a large terrace. Just 80 meters from a soft sandy west coast beach and 8 meters from a large swimming pool which has a Jacuzzi, a sun bathing area with sun loungers and lots of shade in a summerhouse.


It was built in 2006 to a very high (Canadian) specification.

Master bedroom has super king bed and en-suite bathroom.

Second bedroom has super king bed and large patio doors.

Third bedroom has queen bed and its own TV and DVD player.

House bathroom has a large walk in shower.

kitchen has a dishwasher, American style large fridge/freezer, central unit with four ring ceramic hob and a built in oven and microwave.

Spacious lounge with large flat screen TV.

Breakfast Bar.

Outdoor Terrace with outdoor kitchen with fridge, sink and worktop.

Outdoor covered dining area and outdoor covered comfortable seating overlooking its own attractive tropical garden. Very private.

The whole apartment has marble floors and marble tiles in the bathrooms. There are air conditioning units in the bedrooms and the lounge. The patio doors open up onto a spacious terrace with lots of outdoor living space.

The beach is 80 meters down a private beach access route and across the road. Fitts Village with Jordans supermarket and Il Tempio beach bar is a short stroll along the beach or the road.

This apartment was our full time home for 6 years.

We have now moved back to the UK, and want to rent our lovely property in Barbados but still return there ourselves three times per year.

Why Philip Green chose St. James

We spent a lot of time looking at Barbados property before choosing Summerland Villas.

This is a great location due to its proximity to the beach, a supermarket, a beach bar and two restaurants. Buses to Holetown or Bridgetown pass every few minutes and of course it has its own large swimming pool and gardens.

What makes this apartment unique

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all taken outside in Barbados.

Barbados has a near perfect year round climate. It never gets above 33C and never drops below 25C even at night. The sun rises at 6am and sets at 6pm year round.

December to March is the driest time. August to October is a bit more humid but warm tropical showers happen all year round keeping the island always green and pleasant.

Barbados has some world class restaurants. The people are friendly and welcoming. You feel safe and appreciated by the locals. Barbados for us truly was paradise and we were sad to have to return to the UK but delighted to be able to keep this property for our own visits three times per year. An excellent local property manager is available during your stay if needed.

Great location, beach and pool!

We had a wonderful stay at summer land villas for 10 days in April. The condo was well equipped with everything required for our stay. We travelled with our two children who loved the pool and the convenience of having it just a few steps from the very private terrace of the condo.Lawson checked in with us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We highly recommend 202 Summerland Villas for your next vacation,we are already planning our trip for next year!

Amazing property

The villa itself is worth 5 stars; the only reason I only gave it 4 is that we had to drive to what became our favorite hangout up in Holetown. So it wasn't really close to lots of things. But, as I said, the villa itself was amazing, with a well-equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer. The furnishings were very nice and the patio area was a great place to relax. And my wife really liked the garden area and few steps from the patio to the pool. If just hanging out on the beach is your thing, then this property is a great choice as it is just across the road and a few meters up from the access point. If you like nightlife and don't mind the drive or taking the bus, then it works out fine for that too. All in all, you won't be making a mistake if you choose this property for you Barbados holiday.

Fantastic! We had a great time!

The spacious 3 double-bedded apartment was ideally suited to our family's needs and everything was clean, well-maintained and in good working order. Good appliances for cooking, refrigeration, clothes washing and drying, plus an iron, satellite TV and hair dryers. All of the comforts of home without any compromise. The outdoor space was well planned and we loved the outdoor areas for eating, relaxing and swimming. We didn't hire a car but the apartment is in a gated secure compound and car parking was always available. The location in Fitz village, 2 blocks from the supermarket and a short walk to the beach was excellent. Lawson looked after us while we were there, not only showing us the apartment, but checking we were fine a number of times through our holiday and providing helpful local advice and recommendations - it was a pleasure to be looked after so well as this sort of service is so often lacking. Everyone we met was very helpful, cheerful, and we will go again sometime.

The booking process with the owner was easy, and followed the expected schedule for payments and reminders. The owner also provided good local information for us beforehand which we were very grateful for. We definitely will recommend this property to friends and family. Thanks Philip and Lawson ��

Perfect apartment for lovely holiday.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in the apartment. Three lovely bedrooms - one of which had a great ensuite. Bed linen and towels were provided which saved lots of suitcase space. There were lovely outside tables in a shady garden that wasn't overlooked by the other apartments. Three steps down and you are down by a pool with a jacuzzi bit too. The beach was just across the beach and was beautiful and really quiet. Lawson organised taxis for our arrival and met us to give us keys which was great. He helped us find a dive company and hire a car. The supermarket is a 5 min walk down the road and has most essentials or you can get the bus to a bigger supermarket in holetown very easily. We really were delighted with our stay - the rest of the family kept coming to visit us as they liked it so much!

Excellent, comfortable apartment

The apartment was as good as described, and very comfortable. The situation was also good, but the beach closest to Summerland, in front of Waves Hotel, was not as clean as it should be and there was good deal of litter. However, other beaches within short walking distance were good and clean. The staff who looked after us were first class, very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed riding the buses! We would definitely recommend this property

Beautiful Apartment

Review of Summerland

The property is a three bedroom ground floor apartment. There is an en suite to the master bedroom and then another bathroom . The rooms are lovely and big and light. The beds are tremendously comfortable and I have difficulty sleeping but never failed to get a good nights sleep on the quality mattress.

The furnishings in the property are beautiful, there is some lovely art work and it really is of a very high standard. The kitchen was very well equipped and we self catered for 2 weeks, only eating out very occasionally so we made full use of it. There is a coffee machine which is a nice touch and the large fridge/freezer meant that we had plenty of room to store all our food.

The outside area was lovely too, nice to eat lunch outside too and there is a fridge outside so you can keep drinks cool there .

The pool is fantastic, after the first two days we were the only ones using it, lovely temperature and very clean. That really added to our enjoyment. There are restaurants and supermarket a 5 minute walk away. It's in a great location, just across the road from the beach, and only a 10 minute drive from Holetown which has loads of great places to eat.

If you hire a car, the main car park is gated, but to be honest, the island has a very safe feel to it. The Bajans are friendly and accomodating and we caught the bus around. It costs the equivalent of about 70p wherever you go on the Island and stops a few minutes walk away from the apartment.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, Lawson the manager lives just up the road and he is on hand to sort out issues and will help with car hire booking and arranging taxis from the airport.

We had a marvellous stay, the extras like free wifi in the property and the flat screen tv in the lounge made a difference to the kids too.

The property is set in lush tropical Gardens that are well tended and beautiful.

Try the Beach house in hole town for great service, lovely food and a decent price. We hired a car from MAH car rentals and they were brilliant, delivered and collected from the property, be a bit careful driving though, roads leave a lot to be desired as far as pot holes are concerned.!

It was our first trip to Barbados and we loved it, beautiful beaches, warm crystal clear sea , friendly locals and Summerland was a home from home. Book it, you won't regret it !
