We invite you to enjoy our little piece of paradise. The property was named for our daughter. We started planting the gardens on the property when she was born and have added more every year. There are many fruit trees and depending on the season, feel free to harvest from them. As you look around the property you will see mangos, bananas, papayas, lemons, limes, avocados, coconuts and many tropical flowering and hardwood trees.
We are centrally located, town and beaches are 5-10 minutes away, close enough to be convenient but far enough to be away from the crowds.
The view from the deck is gorgeous. The night sky is incredible! It may be the best view you have ever seen, from the North Star through the Milky Way to the Southern Cross! Often you will see a shooting star. Don't forget to make a wish! Soak in the hot tub and let all your stress disappear!
Eleah's Garden is a kid friendly place. We have toys, games and books in the house for children to enjoy. Outside we have a basketball hoop. Remember that whoever knocks the ball down the hill has to go get it!
Relax and enjoy the view from the deck or venture into the yard to watch the fish in the pond or lounge in the hammock. Something for everyone!

David andI built the house ourselves and lived there with our 3 children for 15 years. Our middle child was born in the house. We have many fantastic memories of our time on St. John. St. John is a magical place and we get there every chance we can.
Sheri purchased this house in 1994
To get away from the cold and be near the beautiful beaches and water.
We enjoy the world class beaches and SCUBA diving. We often picnic at the beach. We love to hike the trails and explore the island.
So we were 4 couples that stayed in the house just for the weekend in January. Now we are literally from the next island over STT, so we just wanted something near the ruins as we were going the concert there. The house was walking distance to the ruins or like a 2 min drive lol which we thought would be perfect, in addition to the hot tub :)
The house looked nice and was "clean" from first impressions, however, as we started to settle in and prep for the night ahead we realized that there was an infestation. There were just black ants everywhere (non biting). I figured it out when I tried to turn on the light (it had a remote for fan/light) so in the dark pushing buttons I feel some crawling. Eventually get light on and remote back on wall. Turns out there was a nest inside the remote and they just kept coming and coming. about the half the bedroom wall was crawling. Fellow couples found nest in the bathroom doors, coffee tables, the folded CLEAN towels.
I had a video and others sent me there's as I texted them to the owner so he knew what was up. Only reply I got was "oh man I told the cleaner to sort that out....there should be spray under the sink."
Turns out there was no spray, I was hoping to get the $100 back for cleaning fee but that was a no go.
All in all the place was chill and we're rock man so the ants were not a big deal but as this is Air bnb and primarily used by stateside tourists, soI figured I'd share my experience.
Thus 3 stars otherwise I would have gone to 4-5.
Gosh, this was such a great place to stay. We arrived to a clean and well furnished home, the washing machine and kitchen definitely came in handy during our stay. The house was in a convenient location, easy to get to town and out to the beaches, or to Coral Bay, and the little food stand right across the street served delicious local food! Our whole family had fun exploring the property (including Eleah's garden) and relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub and looking at the hummingbirds and the incredible view after a long day of trekking around the island! This was such a wonderful place and I look forward to visiting again and again!!
We spent Christmas vacation week at Eleah's Garden! It was the perfect setup for our family traveling with two older teens/young adults and my mom. It's close to town and easy to get to. The gate keeps the property closed off from the road (my mom was always the "gate keeper" and watched for traffic as we backed out). We woke each morning to the roosters crowing (if you don't like that unique sound this may not be the place for you) We loved it, it made it more unique. The neighbors are super friendly and helpful if needed. I would recommend this property to any family wanting to enjoy and explore St John!
We arrivedat Eleah's Garden, our "Home away from Home".
We were visiting our daughter who was working at The Gifft Hill school.
The location was perfect for this.Everything was provided at the villa, especially cooking facilities as our daughter wanted to sit down as a family for part of the meals togeather.
Our daughters ran the annual 8 mile run and ended up getting very muddy. Was so nice to have the laundrey facilities (open air no less) to take care of the mess.
The owners take great pride to keep the facilities well maintained in top working condition and very clean. They are also perfect hosts and know most everything about the island. If there is a place you are looking for they know where it is or an activity they know the who-where & when that you are looking for.
We rented a car and had a flat tire one morning. In no time it was aired up (with their air compressor) and we were directed where to drive to get it fixed. Made a big problem into a very small problem that was over in less than an hour.
Everything exceeded our expectationsn and would love to go back.
We highly recommend Eleah's Garden.
What a wonderful vacation! We had such a great time on St. John and were beyond happy with Eleah's Garden. From the moment we arrived we felt we had arrived in paradise. One of the owners, David, greeted us at the house on our arrival to ensure that we had everything we needed. The place was IMMACULATE! The deck was amazing and we spent every morning and evening listening to the tree frogs and watching the geckos scamper. The kitchen was very well equipped and all the little things like towels, movies for the dvd player,a blender for frozen drinks and chairs for the beach were provided. Bed was super comfy and ceiling fans were more than sufficient for the occasional warm night (but with those wonderful ocean breezes it was great to just leave all the windows open!). I have stayed in many places on St. John but I have to say that this central location was my favorite place to stay. Only five minutes to town and beaches! We didn't want to leave. Every day we hiked, went to the beach and had great meals (either eating in or out). I highly recommend this rental and anxiously look forward to a LONGER stay next year!!
This was the perfect location for our family and guests of six on the island. The price was within our budget and the location was an easy access to town and beaches (with a rental car). We were initially concerned about the lack of air conditioning in the summer, but found the evening and nights very comfortable with the ceiling fans and breezes from the hill top (we were at the beaches in the afternoon).
The property was as described.
I would recommend this rental to anyone!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
