About Jen Vitti
Your Host: Jen and Bill Vitti Bill was a designer at Ford Motor Co for over 30 years. I managed a office in Detroit for close to 20 years. When we decided to retire we searched many locations. We had visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC on our way back from Florida and feel in love with the area. We narrowed our search until we found the perfect spot - Bat Cave, NC We are so fortunate - 3 of our 4 children chose join us and now live close by. Almost two years ago my sister retired and her family made their way live in Asheville. Life is good!
Jen Vitti purchased this House in 1999
Why Jen Vitti chose Bat Cave
The property is truly unique. The sound of the rushing stream so close to the quest house porch is amazing. A short walk and you can experience a private waterfall. A quiet, private venue to relax and reenergize. After years of city life this is exactly the rural location we hoped to find.
What makes this House unique
We decided we wanted to share our special location with visitors. The sights, sounds and smells are a wake up call for the senses! In addition, quest comfort and convenience are our priorities, We hope you will choose us for you vacation destination..........

that's what our son called Minnehaha Guest Cabin. We've had so much fun not just exploring the surrounding areas but simply staying in the cottage. The bubbling creek provided lovely sound 24/7 and great entertainment for whole family. The screen porch was wonderful for having breakfasts and dinners. The owners think of everything you might need away from home which is very helpful. Very nice people. So much thought is put in this cottage. It is also extremely clean. We had a wonderful time here and felt in love with the area.
Great place for the whole family
We loved this home. Our kids loved playing in the stream. They had everything you could think of. We loved the fire pit and they even provided the wood. It was a short drive to chimney rock and some great hiking trails. We hope to be back in the future
Cute 2 bedroom house with everything you could want! Jenn had every detail covered from coffee service, bug spray, towels for outside, shampoo, water bottles in the fridge... The house was immaculate!! Possibly the best part was the rolling brook / stream with the mini "waterfalls" right outside. There is a screened in porch as well as a great outside sitting area with fire pit. You really cant go wrong. My only regret is that fur babies are not allowed ;)
Jen and Bill were the most gracious hosts. Their vacation rental is so cute and spacious. The outdoor space is very pleasant with a large deck and screened in porch. We loved our stay and the creek was enjoyed by the children and refreshing too. The path to the waterfall is an extra added touch for exploring. We loved our visit to the mountains
Clean place, located close to many of the popular things to do near Asheville, the cabin is not near the road so read the how to get there instructions, but is actually very simple.
The house was in excellent shape. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owners made sure all of our needs were met and went out of their way to fulfill our requests. We grilled out the first night we were there and it worked great. We used the fire pit the first night then it started raining and didn't stop during our entire stay. I requested a pair of gloves and something to put the, then dry, firewood into on the porch so it would stay dry and they brought a tub and some gloves.
The cabin is set up so it is easy to keep it clean while you are staying there. It has a big screened in front porch overlooking a bubbling stream where you can set down your umbrella. I also ate breakfast every morning on that porch enjoying the view and sound of the stream. There is a small room when you walk in that has a rubber lined shoe mat to leave wet or dirty shoes and a place to hang your coat.
There is a big screen TV with more channels than I could watch and great WiFi for our heavy computer use with one child taking online classes. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone. We had a great time!
