All ApartmentsApart properties meet our high standards. We don't take a property on unless:
- it's near the ground floor or has an elevator
- has a decent kitchen
- is well located / convenient for public transport
- would meet the approval of the majority of our guests
And once we take a property on we:
- paint it up
- furnish it tastefully with furniture suitable to sleep as many guests as possible in comfort
- provide extra amenities you'll need for a comfortable stay like hair driers and internet
- supply a handbook for you so you can work the equipment in the apartment
- leave you some tips on the area and restaurants
We're sure that you'll love staying with us. We have hundreds of thousands of customers who already love our services. Why not make it one more?
We are traveling in Europe for 3 months from the USA with two little kids during the Summer. We booked this place after reviewing positive reviews.
But what a shocker when we reached there!!! This is in an restricted area. The taxi cannot go there. We had to walk with our luggage (2 suitcases, 2 carry ons, one back pack) in the rain, on ancient stone/brick road that has large gaps. I knew there was no elevator, it was on the 2nd floor (US), 1st floor (Europe). However, the it was really a very steep, small step width, almost as high as two story in the US as it is a very old building. It was extremely difficult to take our luggage upstairs.
The bathroom had strong foul urine smell. The manager sent a cleaner who mopped the floor again. But the smell came back if I closed the bathroom door.
The location is right at the entrance of Grand Place. High tourist and local crow traffic below the living room windows. Younger people kept talking loud and shouted while walking for no reason past 1 am. But then in the early morning like around 5 am, delivery and cleaning trucks came by with loud noise. (They open up business traffic in the morning, but close for other cars at 12 pm, I believe). We could not sleep at night or in the morning.
There lights are dim, which are mounted very high as it has very high ceiling (perhaps 20 ft high) with wooden beams.
Now the bed in the bedroom. The bed has visible waves caved in on both sides where people sleep. It is a severely overused mattress and needs to be thrown out.
The shower - the shower head does not stay straight. It hangs. It is on the wide edge of the tub, instead of the long edge. There is no way you could take shower, unless you hold it in one hand !!!
I don't want to go on anymore. This apartment is not the one if you are looking for a decent place.
But it might be good for a group of young adults who are looking for a good location and looking to party themselves till late night.
This apt is right above L'Occitane so we did not find it noisy. It is literally one corner away from Grand Place and very close to the central Metro. We took day trips all over Belgium due to the convenience of having to walk only 6 minutes to get to the train station! The apartment is roomy and has big windows that open out over crowds of tourists which make for fun people watching. I did not find the bed comfortable, but the couch is amazingly large and comfy. I enjoyed staying here. You cannot beat the accommodations at this price. Very Clean place too.
Chocolate everywhere! This apartment is literally around the corner from Grand Place and all the chocolate shops and restaurants! The apartment is spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. There can sometimes be some street noise. The management is very helpful and cooperative. When we informed them of a minor problem, it was corrected with two hours. We would not hesitate to stay there again! Mass transit is close; however, we never needed it, as the city is very walkable. Note: the Museum of Musical Instruments is well worth a visit!
We stayed in this VRBO for 5 nights and were thrilled with the quality and location of the apartment. The apartment is very clean, attractive, and well stocked including laundry facilities. The apartment is literally around the corner from the Grand Place which is amazing. Unfortunately, it is also one floor above a candy shop that stays open until midnight. The shop plays extremely loud dance music until 12:15 each night which pounds through the floor of the apartment. The bedroom is also above a skylight which shines directly into the bedroom. The light is so bright until midnight, you feel like you are sleeping in the middle of the day. So, if you are a deep sleeper and can ignore the light and the noise, you will be ok.
The property is excellent and the location (besides the Grand Place) is fantastic both for leisure or business trips. It is a very big property with a very nice layout.
The only downside is that the chekin procedure is a bit complicated, though the customer service is excellent.
