This pied-à-terre is perfect for discovering Strasbourg, as it is a stone's throw away from theatres, the Christmas market, the historic centre, and museums. With a view of the cathedral in a building called 'Neustadt,' you will be able to enjoy this peaceful loft apartment with all the necessary amenities. You will find all sorts of shops and restaurants on the street nearby, and the train station is only a 10-minute walk away. Access to public transportation is at the foot of the building, and the highway is only a few minutes away, making it easy for you to see all the tourist spots in the area.
Fully renovated, the apartment is smartly equipped to provide you with maximum comfort. With its whitewashed walls, oak floors, and older style of furniture, this place offers a warm and particularly calm living space.
You will find one bedroom with a large queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm), and a sofa-bed measuring 140 x 190 cm in the living room that comfortably sleeps two. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, convection oven, and microwave. In the bathroom, you will find a washer-dryer. The apartment also features a television and WiFi. We will provide you with sheets, towels, and house linens.
This is a great place for a couple's getaway, family visit, or business trip.
Please note: the apartment is located on the 4th floor, and there is no lift.
I am warm and friendly, and my only wish is that you feel at home here! I settled in Strasbourg more than 20 years ago. I love this city, and I would really like to share my passion for Strasbourg and the Alsace region with you. Furthermore, I would love to give you all my tips on places to visit in the area to make your stay a memorable one!
Audrey Martayan purchased this apartment in 2013
I want to share my love for this city and its rich culture with my guests. We hope you experience the comfort, warmth, and welcoming attitude that exemplify the Alsace region.
This apartment is ideally located, which means you will not be far away from the rich history and culture of the city. The cathedral and Petite-France area are only a few minutes’ walk away. You might be surprised at how quiet the apartment is, but just outside the building, life is in full swing!
Audrey was a pleasure to work with! She was professional and responsive during the booking and throughout our 9 night stay. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable, new appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher). The bed is comfortable, the shower pressure great and plenty of hot water. The kitchen is well equipped. We made many meals there. The skylights provide plenty of light and cross-ventilizstion for warmer days. The historic district is less than a 15 min walk from the apartment. The train station is 20-25 min walk or you can take the nearby tram. We highly recommend Audrey's apartment!
We recently spent 5 days in Strasbourg, and this apartment served as a perfect home base. It's a quick and easy walk to the Cathedral, and old town, as well as shops and restaurants/cafes. Just a few doors north of the canal, you get to start your day everyday with the beautiful sight of the river.
Audrey is very sweet and helpful, and gave us many suggestions for where to eat- the italian restaurant up the street- Il Panzerotto- is some of the best italian food I've ever had! It was so good we had it twice- perfect after a long day walking around the city and surrounding area.
The apartment is up several flights of stairs, and the last set up to the attic level is fairly steep, but you get used to it, and just take your time. It is very clean, and well equipped. There is everything that you need there, and we really wanted for nothing while in the apartment. Though it seems larger in pictures, it is well laid out, and is very functional. The kitchen table is a great place to have some tea and breakfast and plan your day. The sofa bed in the living room is actually quite comfortable, and the tv allows you to access your Netflix account, so it was nice to be able to watch a movie at night.
I would recommend this apartment, and would stay there again when in Strasbourg.
What a lovely place to stay in the beautiful city if Strasbourg! This charm filled. apartment has everything you need! A comfortable queen sized bed, cute fully applianced kitchen, modern bath with shower stall, fast wireless internet and a view through the bedroom skylight to Strasbourg's famous cathedral.
A couple of items to note: The apartment is on the fifth floor (in American speak) and the stairs are wonky so it would not be suitable for the elderly or disabled. Also, it is an attic apartment and has sloping roof lines. I assume it would be very hot in the summer months. For our November stay it was not a problem.
The owner Audrey is lovely and helpful with a good command of English. We also made use of the optional parking space which is a very tight garage and only suitable for a compact car. I would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Strasbourg.
As an senior traveler, I was a bit intimidated by the four flights of stairs to reach our "garret," but I found the effort was worth it. My adult son and I considered this to be one of our favorite apartments in all of our travels. Audrey is a most gracious and professional hostess. The apartment was beautifully appointed as well as delightfully light and airy. It is also in a perfect location for us, whether walking to the numerous historical sections of town or walking to the train station to further explore Alsace, or simply walking across the street to the grocery store. Without question, we would most definitely stay there again.
We found our host/owner to be incredibly helpful to us, both in dealing with the rental arrangements and meeting us to share information/advice about our stay and things to do in Strasbourg. The location is ideal just steps away from the river/Ile de France and local shop/market/patisserie within steps of the flat. It was well appointed, fully updated and despite being on top floor, well ventilated/airy ( it was quite hot during our stay ). We loved it and would return.
