About Mrs Clare Brockley

We have lived at Penrhyn Mawr since 1959. We rent out two beautiful cottages and two amazing mobile homes in a fantastic tranquil setting on Anglesey. My husband and I live within the grounds and make sure that everything is of a high standard. Most of my visitors return year after year and our visitors book speaks volumes. We take great pleasure in making sure all our visitors have a wonderful time and feel safe in the knowledge that we are always happy to help whilst leaving them to enjoy a peaceful and relaxed holiday. As a couple, we have traveled the world and we KNOW how things should be !

Why Mrs Clare Brockley chose Anglesey

Penrhyn Mawr - The Castaways is for people who crave peace and quiet. The mobile home is set within trees and has views of the open countryside. Mr Owl might say goodnight and the only sound you will hear in the morning is birdsong. A birdwatchers paradise and a few nosey calves that might pop their head over the hedge to say hello. Walkers loves the Isle of Anglesey. Beaches, history, walks and a warm welsh welcome. We live within the grounds so we are on hand to guide and advise.

What makes this mobile home unique

Penrhyn Mawr has been in our family for 56 years and apart from the 18th Century main house and the great natural surroundings, it takes you away from the madness of the 21st Century. A place to recharge the batteries ! - no pressures and fabulous views all around - with a high standard of accommodation and a very warm welcome. We pride ourselves in the fact that after nearly 20 years of renting our properties we have never had a complaint ! Most return year after year. Pets welcome.

Great value holiday.Peaceful,scenic,comfortable

  • 5 of 5

In September we were back in a little piece of heaven called 'Castaways' one of two adjoining cottages on the Isle of Anglesey near the Menia Straights. On the map the property is shown as Penrhyn Mawr which is near the village of Dwyran.

Down winding country lanes Penrhyn Mawr is set on its own, surrounded by peaceful, pastoral countryside. The site itself is comprised of two cottages and two mobile homes, adjacent to, but apart from the owner’s property.

Castaways, to us, is a home from home with all the creature comforts you could ask for. The owners have created a cottage interior which is pleasant, functional and comfortable with ample space throughout, and they go to great lengths to ensure the comfort of their ‘Guests’ during their stay.

We have found ‘Castaways’ at Penrhyn Mawr an ideal base for exploring this delightful and intriguing Island, with our two Border Collies, whilst returning home in the evening to relax in a most comfortable atmosphere.

As a temporary escape from the rigours of the outside world, or time spent in more energetic pursuits ‘Castaways’ is to us, the ideal holiday retreat and would highly recommend it.
