Güntersberge is ideally positioned for delightful walks and for visiting places of interest in the Harz region.
There are many cycle routes and walking trails for you to enjoy in summer. Lake Bergsee is excellent for swimming, fishing and boating. You can enjoy cross-country skiing, tobogganing and skating on the area's many small lakes in winter. The Zoo, the summer toboggan slide, the Rübeländer Stalictyte Caves and the 'Western Town' of Pulman City are all highly recommended. Many historic cities are not far. Stolberg is 15 km away, Quedlinburg is 23 km and Wernigerode is 30 km. They are all well worth a visit.
There is something for everyone in the greater vicinity. There are not only extensive woods with beautiful hiking paths, but there are also various historic centra (Quedlinburg, Wernigerode and Goslar) and you can take a tour with the characteristic small gauge railways or visit the 1100 metre high Brocken.
In the winter, there is a great ski area in Braunlage for families, and in addition there are various pistes and Nordic trails in some of the surrrounding villages.

From this quiet location house we enjoyed the beautiful nature, there are many walks possible. But we have also searched the atmosphere of medieval towns in the area. Five days is really too short to explore. Harz
It was a very nice relaxing holiday for us. We could just let your soul and nature (dierekt at the door) enjoy, just switch off from everyday stress. The weather was a day and we took great walks with the dog. The family Wicht a very big thank you for arranging and hosting the suuuuuuuuuuuuuper & quotSchmunzelstube ". By the way, the restaurant & quotSchmunzelstube "is done directly located at the lake and the entertainment is just great. Please be sure to stop off at the times & quotSchmunzelstube ". It is really worth! It was just a very nice holiday season in House & quotIm Limpach ".
Unfortunately, us & quotbitterer "aftertaste remains of this holiday, because of the very unfriendly Umgangsart the administration. My complaint is already gone out via email. The house overall was clean and cozy. The environment is also very quiet - you can go hiking right. However, the trails were not well marked and ins. not so good. We could not find any shopping on site. And after we had been treated so rude by the management, we would not even go there. What a pity!
