About this property

Cottage 2 is a 2 story heat, & A/C cabin with knotty pine decor. 2 BR(2 dbl and 1 twin) on upper level. Designed with a L shaped living area with futon, full kitchen and 1 bathroom. It also has cable TV Completley furnished kitchen with dishes, pots & pans, coffee pot, (filters are provided) toaster and microwave. Toilet paper & all bedding is provided for you. We do not provide bath towels, kitchen towels, or paper towels. Cottage has its own deck with fire pit, deck furniture and charcoal grill.

Lake Osakis is a 6,270-acre lake located in the town of Osakis on Interstate #94. It is one on Minnesota's top fisheries with both large and smallmouth bass, northern pike,crappies and big sunnies. But Walleyes are the most sought after prize on the lake. Osakis has a tremendous Walleye population with a great population of fish in the "keeper" range plus those "trophy fish."

Osakis

The property manager was great. Very friendly and accommodating. The cabin has issues. The floor had a big hump in it, (at least 3 inces) to where nothing was level, and felt the whole building was a little unstable. The carpet was very stained. The toilet was not attached firmly to the floor and would wobble a lot while sitting on it. Bathroom flooring was peeling up around the edges and old. The cabinets in kitchen look uneven and as if they would fall apart at any moment. The microwave was broken but the property manager did replace promptly. Overall it was clean but run down. I would not stay there again with that condition but liked the location and property manager. And would return with a major remodel to the building.

Adequate rental

Location was great and enjoyed the lakefront and multiple docks for fishing. Cabin is as described with its own set of quirks. Owners were very nice and are obviously working to update the cabins. Beds were decent and bedding was clean. Overall a nice place to lay our heads before getting back out on the lake. Really appreciated the cleaning house right off the lake to take care of the day’s catch!!
