About candice hillier
Hi I'm Candice, I bought this little farm to raise my horses, collies and children on and opened Shady Oaks Boarding Kennel in 2001. I met my husband Max in 2010 and we have now been married for 5 years. Max is from South Africa and moved his life to the Cayman Islands in 1993 which is where we met. We spend time in both places - lucky us - and wanted to share our mountain "sanctuary" with you. We have 2 grown children and 4 dogs "We're growing older, but not up, our metabolic rate is presently stuck, let the winds of change blow over our heads, we'd rather die while we're living than live while we're dead." Why candice hillier chose Tiger
This tiny farm is located in historic Tiger Georgia close to Clayton at the base of the Appalachian Mountains. Clayton, once a sleepy little town has become the place for mountain vacations, wineries, farm to table restaurants and weekend getaways.

Relaxing fall getaway
The owners really thought through all the little details to make this cozy cabin a relaxing and fun stay. The covered porch was one of my favorite places to unwind and relax in the hammock. The kitchen, although small, is very well stocked with the essentials. The added perks of wine, popcorn, and teas, coffee, and hot cocoa are a wonderful touch. Check-in was very easy and they even provided a kennel for our pup so we didn't have to bring ours. I usually bring a few kitchen essentials when we stay at rentals, but I didn't even need to take the bin out of our car. The bed was too soft for me as I have a back issue, but that is just a personal preference. Our dog felt right at home and it was a walkable neighborhood. We had fun exploring the area: hiked at Moccasin St. Park, Black Rock Mountain overlook, Stonewall Creek and 12 Spies wineries (dog-friendly), and some shopping in Clayton. Wander is a great outdoor store, locally focused, and even allowed our dog to come in and shop. Where we ate: Tiger Food Mart for awesome biscuits, Universal Joint (great vibes and eats), Clark's on Main (rooftop views!), and Grapes and Bean (loved everything here and great service). All in all, we had a wonderful time and would return.
Cutest little place!
Property manager has literally thought of everything needed for a great stay! Perfect little cottage!
Awesome Weekend Getaway
Charming cottage at first glance with amazing porch and dog friendly! We fell in love with Cade's Cottage and will be returning annually for my Birthday Weekends! Beautifully furnished with the latest HGTV look. Owner was very responsive and we had a delightful experience.
This is an excellent properties stay on I just wish on stay had been a little longer
home away from home....

The cottage was so cute. It had the amenities of a luxury
hotel. Everything you could ever need was there,, and it was
decorated as a country cabin. .
The porch was a plus with grill, seating area and a refrigerator.
