Wonderful experience
We had an amazing time at this property and would definitely return in the future! It was perfect for our multi-generation family of 20 people. The location to both town and Rocky Mountain National park was so nice. The owners went above and beyond, including a sweet welcome basket which was such a blessing. We love this place!

An Amazing Property
This house is perfect in every way! It was perfect for our group of 12. It had everyone we needed for the week, and we cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal. The location couldn’t be any better for hiking at RMNP. I highly recommend this property, and we will definitely be back!!

Awesome property
Huge cabin with lots of rooms and bathrooms for big groups. I had 14 people in my group and we were all very comfortable. The game room is awesome for kids, and backed up to the river is great for fly fishing! Very quiet neighborhood and very peaceful. Plenty of room for parking unless you have several big trucks. Only bad thing was downstairs fridge didn’t really work and no ice makers worked. Overall it was a great stay!

About the host

Hosted by Robyne Huebner

Host profile image
Originally from Nebraska, members of our family have been traveling to Estes Park since the 1930's. Having made stays at the Baldpate Inn an annual occurrence for more than twenty years, our own dream was to someday have a place on the same river that our grandpa stayed on 80 years ago. When the chance to buy this amazing home came up last fall, that dream finally became a reality - and is one that we're excited to share with other families from around the globe!

Why they chose this property

We really wanted a place that families could connect - whether fishing together, hanging out by the river together, heading out on hikes together, or just relaxing in a comfortable Great Room by the fire or in the game room for a little competitive bonding. This home has it all - and its close proximity to both the YMCA of the Rockies, downtown Estes Park, AND Rocky Mountain National Park really make it an ideal place for families to connect or reconnect.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location. When people come to Estes Park, they want to experience all that the Colorado Rockies have to offer...and that's what makes Koenig Lodge such a ideal place. First, if a river location is important to you because you want to drink a cup of coffee in the morning next to the water or drop a line to catch the next great rainbow, then Koenig Lodge is definitely the spot. The lodge literally sits right on the Big Thompson River and offers all the sights and sounds you'd hope for in a home on the water.

Recently updated, Koenig Lodge is wheelchair accessible and fire sprinkler protected - a unique feature among the larger rental homes in Estes Park. The lodge is also located on the outskirts so you don't feel like you're in the middle of the hustle and bustle of town. It is literally 1/2 mile from the YMCA of the Rockies on Hwy 66 and only a mile or so away from a Rocky Mountain National Park hike-in location.
