The Still Finch is just a short walk 2 minute to all downtown Coeur d'Alene has to offer... a plethora of dining opportunities, night life, art galleries, brew pubs, boutique shops and the LAKE! Explore Tubbs Hill, one of the area's premier location for hikes along the water. Kids will love McEuen park and its splash pad, extensive playground area, basketball courts and tennis courts just 2 blocks away. Rent a power boat for skiing and tubing or a pontoon boat for a leisurely voyage along the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Or, take an aerial adventure by way of parasail or seaplane. This can all be done within a short walk from The Still Finch. Coeur d'Alene is a golfer's paradise, ranging from simple par 3 courses to the world renown Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course and its signature floating green. We highly recommend a visit to the Human Rights Educational Institute and the Museum of North Idaho. If you visit us in the summer, don't forget to check out the farmers market, art walks, outdoor concerts - in addition to the 4th of July celebration, "Car d'Alene" for the antique car enthusiasts, Half Ironman, and Art on the Green among many others! In the winter enjoy the beautiful Holiday lighting ceremony, watch eagles, go skiing or just enjoy the town when it is a bit quieter. After playing all day, retreat back to your home away from home to relax and unwind. The Still Finch is perfect for all Guests, complete with 4 bedrooms- one with bunkbeds (perfect for the kiddos), two rooms feature king beds and one room has a queen bed. The home has 2 full bathrooms, one featuring a separate soaking tub. The kitchen is well appointed with the necessary tools should you wish to have a home cooked meal. Enjoy a movie on the couch, play some wii games downstairs or take a nice long bath in the soaking tub!

The home has WIFI, a Roku downstairs, cable TV and a DVD player along with a video library. There are toys and kids books too!

Excellent communication & Beautiful Home

What an easy wonderful experience! Kim was so helpful and thoughtful (even welcomed us with artisan cookies!) with our stay and the home was so adorable and sooo close to everything downtown CDA has to offer. I would highly recommended.

Perfect Home Base

Entry into the house was super easy with a code provided for the front lock. Upon arrival we were greeted in the kitchen with flowers, a card, and a big box of delicious Bear Paw cookies for our family. There was plenty of room for my husband and myself, our adult son, our adult daughter and son in law, and our teenage son. The house was conveniently located close to town and the lake. We walked most of the time on this trip. The only times we got into our cars was to drive to Silverwood (30 minute drive) and the Hiawatha trail (1 hour drive). The backyard was lovely for a relaxing morning before starting the day, or in the evening enjoying dinner on the deck. The kitchen was well stocked and we prepared several meals there to save money. Overall our family had a great trip and enjoyed our time at The Still Finch.

Excellent property and location!

This was an excellent property. Very comfortable, clean, and well furnished. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. There were a lot of nice little touches that made it a special place. If we are ever in Coeur d’Alene again, we will hope to book this property. The owners are prompt, courteous, and warm. We had a lovely trip.

Great House & Location

This was a cute house, it was set up perfectly for two families with two bedrooms and a bath upstairs and the same downstairs. It was also a really short walk to the park and beach. Great place for families!

We have over 50 years combined hospitality experience. Brad is currently in management at a world class resort and Kim has spent the last 10 years in Real Estate here in N. Idaho. We have 3 boys, two in college and a 5th grader, they keep us very busy and entertained. When schedules allow us all to have time together, we enjoy traveling as much as just hanging out together at home.

Why they chose this property

We are excited to share our first home with you - we now live in Post Falls, just a short drive to Coeur d'Alene. This home is special to us, the wonderful neighborhood, quiet street, walking distance to everything! We came up with the name The Still Finch because we have so many beautiful finches in the area (you'll see in the backyard). They are so busy and constantly on the go we felt the house was a place you (or a finch) can come, slow down and enjoy some time to just be "still". Sit out back and watch the squirrels or wait out front with a glass of wine on the porch for the gang of turkeys to make their way up the street before retreating into the trees at night.

We love Coeur d'Alene, Brad works very nearby and Kim enjoys selling real estate in this beautiful neighborhood!

What makes this property unique

We love the close proximity to the lake, downtown restaurants & shops and the quaint, quiet street. The house has always felt so cozy to us, a very cheerful home. We can sit out front with a glass of wine and watch the neighborhood deer and wild turkeys go by!
