We needed a large home because of a family reunion. This worked fine for that.
We needed a large home because of a family reunion. This worked fine for that. The owner had been very helpful in advance when I wanted to change credit card and add a day. I did fine it odd that there were no window shades/blinds/curtains in any windows though there aren’t any close neighbors. The weather was a bit chilly when we were there, but if it was warmer the big porch would have been great.
Great house for a short break
Great base for ease of access to Boston as well as exploring eastern Massachusetts and lower part of NH.
Well equipped house and very clean. Had a group of 5 which worked well and we felt at home.
Beautiful setting and very quiet.
We loved it!
Exquisite setting, beautifully furnished home and gracious owner who responded quickly to our questions. All five ladies would return in a minute and wish we could!
Unique Piece of History and Incredible Home
This was an incredible home to stay in for the history, accommodate the size of our family, proximity to the wedding we attended, lots of space to relax inside or outside, kitchen appliances and amenities. Looking forward to future stays
Beautiful location and home
Although we loved the house it was very sparsely decorated and did not have many chairs available to seat our guests. No table or seating in the kitchen. Also bedrooms lacked basic lighting for in bed reading.
Was fun to discover this house was the summer home of Fanny Flagg. You should advertise this.
Thank you for apprecating the beauty of our home. We spent all of 2017 renovating Fannie Farmer’s 1915 summer home.
Our property is set up for 11 guests maximum and has seating for 6 in the dining room with an additional 6 chairs for a total seating of 12. If you had more than 12 guests, I apologize that you did not have enough seating, however, our property is specifically not set up for parties or events. You are correct that there is no seating in the kitchen. The footprint for the renovation did not afford an eat- in kitchen concept and the photos of our kitchen on VRBO’s site reflects that. For reading, we have a full library on the first floor with ceiling lighting and all bedrooms have either a floor lamp, table lamp, or sconces. The furnishings are exactly as displayed on the photos and include seating for 12 in the living room and seating for 5 in the library. All bedrooms have additional seating including a chaise lounge, two day beds, and a wing chair. Despite your needs for additional seating and more reading lights, I hope your stay was spectacular!
We had a wonderful stay. Nancy was a great host. Willl definitely stay again!
