Welcome to a holiday destination where you can do as much, or as little, as you choose. Welcome to a unique natural retreat with panoramic views, the gentle sounds of the North Yorkshire countryside and a taste of pure luxury. Whatever the length of your stay, you will find a lakeside sanctuary where the hassle of everyday life simply floats away.
Luxury lodge at 125m2 with a pleasant open plan living and dining area and three bedrooms with split link double beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite with bath and separate shower whilst the family bathroom serves the other two bedrooms and has a bath with shower above.
The luxury lodge has wooden floor throughout, good-sized kitchen/dining area with soft touch unit and composite stone work surfaces and an open planning living space with flat-screen TV and audio system. A futuristic and eye-catching log burning heat storage stove forms the central point of the lounge area. The unusual rounded contours of the stove are more than just elegant design – the stove can be rotated to suit and can provide several hours of heat with the stone cladding of the stove acting like a thermal storage heater.
The lodge has quality in terms of interior design and specification. Acclaimed interior designer, Rosie Mennem was tasked with bringing the lodge interior to life and making it unmistakably Brompton Lakes.
I wanted to create a holiday destination that would be distinctly different. A place where nature and contemporary design could blend together, enhancing the natural landscape in an environmentally friendly way.
We began with a clear and simple idea in mind - to provide top quality holiday rental accommodation in beautiful surroundings. These self-catering Yorkshire Dales Lodges are the result.
Resting on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, directly on the banks of the River Swale and close to the Coast to Coast footpath, life doesn’t get more tranquil.
We have 20, holiday let, eco-lodges on site, all three-bedroomed and combining the latest green building techniques with stylish interior design by Rosie Mennem. No two lodges are the same, the furniture and the colour schemes are all unique giving each one its own character. Each holiday home is designed and built to a high specification set in its own generous space with lake frontage – making Brompton Lakes Yorkshire Dales Lodges the perfect rural retreat.
A Peaceful Retreat for Everyone
There’s plenty to do and see at Brompton Lakes, its main beauty being that you can set your own pace. In fact it is the ideal natural retreat for everyone, be they couples looking for a peaceful getaway or families with children; walking groups, cyclists and other outdoor types and, of course, angling enthusiasts. The two lakes are well stocked with coarse fish (such as carp, tench, roach, bream and chub) and guests are very welcome to fish. We also have fishing rights on the River Swale and there is easy access to around ¾ mile of river bank where grayling, wild brownie, dace and perch can be caught.
We have wi-fi internet covering the entire site, a tennis court, mountain bikes, a boules pitch, a games area and a family barbeque area complete with teepee which can all be used by guests at no extra cost.
We also have a Scandinavian BBQ house available to Brompton Lakes guests all year round. A perfect place to get together for groups of up to 15 people.
For guests who would like to take things easy, we can arrange a 'dine-in' service or why not try our holistic treatments, which include massages, aromatherapy, manicures, pedicures and a range of beauty treatments?
Whether you’re staying for a few days or a few weeks you’ll find Brompton Lakes to be as active or as relaxing as you want it to be.
