Wallkill riverfront 1829 stone cottage recently renovated to uncover original cooking fireplace and other details. 2 full kitchens (each with dishwasher), 1 spa shower room and 1 whirlpool bathroom. Frontage on Wallkill river which leads directly into Sturgeon Pool. Swimming, hiking, tennis within 5 miles. 7 miles from town of New Paltz.

Lower level with historic detail and primary bedroom, dining room, fully equipped summer kitchen, spa shower room may be rented separately, as an alternative to renting the full house.

Very few places in NYS can beat the Hudson Valley in the month of July. This beautiful old stone house is sited on the Wallkill River and has room for the whole family. A separate guest house can be rented as well. You'll be hard pressed to see everything this area can offer you while your here. For starters check out Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain. Here you'll find miles of carriage trails to roam, endless mtn views, rushing streams, water falls and sheer rock faces to climb. We'd love for you to come enjoy our very special homes and we know you'll love your time here. Minutes from the Thruway, NYC trains and eclectic little towns like New Paltz that are full of character.

Rifton is a small hamlet 7 miles North of New Paltz, and about 10 miles away from the Roundout area in Kingston. The area is close to Mohonk Mountain and the Minnewaska State Park, and popular with hikers, climbers, and those who enjoy the outdoors. For those less active, there are a range of antique shops, historical sites, and excellent restaurants thanks to the proximity of the Culinary Institute of America. The house is on the Wallkill river and leads into Sturgeon pond, with kayaks available for rental and delivery locally. There are several golf courses and there are also tennis courts within a 15-20 minute drive from the house. During ski season, Hunter Mountain, Belleayre, and Wyndham are within one hour's drive. Within the hamlet is a post office and delicatessen, with other services available in New Paltz itself. We are 90 miles from Manhattan.

Notes:
This is an historical home and we ask that prospective tenants take good care of it in respect of that fact. Main living room fireplace is only fireplace which may be used. There is a full kitchen, full bathroom, dining room and bedroom on the lower level. During the summer months, air conditioning is in place on lower level and top level, which in tandem cool entire house.
