About Roman Zabicki

Your hosts are originally from Detroit, MI, lived in San Diego,CA for five years before moving here to the Sierra foothills over 20 years ago. We currently own a business in Oakhurst and recently sold our restaurant which was also in Oakhurst. We are no strangers to hospitality and making our guests happy and comfortable.

Roman Zabicki purchased this house in 2017

Why Roman Zabicki chose North Fork

Cascadel Woods is in North Fork, the exact geographic center of California, which used have its own lumber mill. Evidence of the men and women who used to contribute to the logging industry are still evident at the annual Loggers Jamboree held every year in July.

Although Yosemite National Park is a must see for any newcomers to the area, our returning guests avoid the crowds of Yosemite and will visit Mammoth Lakes, tour the Scenic Byway, hike to Whiskey Falls or enjoy the waters of Redinger Lake. Also nearby is Bass Lake where Dan Aykroyd and John Candy filmed The Great Outdoors. Shop in nearby Pines Village, rent a kayak, wave runner or party barge at Bass Lake Water Sports (snow mobile in the winter), swim at one of the many beaches along the shore or try your hand at fishing.

What makes this house unique

Our cabin offers all the amenities of home: full kitchen with stove & oven, microwave and dishwasher; two bedrooms and two full baths. A full washer and dryer are also at your disposal.

Beautiful cabin in a lovely location

  • 5 of 5

Really loved our stay, the owners had thought of everything to make the stay extra comfortable and to make you feel welcome.

The cabin was beautifully done and located in a lovely area.

We hope to return.

Cozy cabin to get away from it all!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was wonderful and had everything you could want for time away. The falls were a 15-minute walk from the cabin and were lovely. The home is located in a rural residential neighborhood located a few miles from the tiny town of North Fork. A larger town, Oakhurst, is about a half hour away. Depending on which national park you want to visit, the drive can be well over an hour or much more. Nearby Bass Lake is beautiful and looks like a fun place to spend time locally — we ran out of time to do so.

Be prepared to be pretty much “unplugged,” depending on your cell phone carrier and on the slow WiFi. But that’s a good thing on vacation!

Roman was a good source of information, and the cabin was spotless. Absolutely no complaints!

This area is beautiful! We came to North Fork for a 1/2 marathon around Bass Lake. The location was perfect. Our favorite part was drinking coffee on the deck and watching the deer have breakfast in the yard. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home!

Cozy, quiet, and nestled in the mountains away from it all

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful getaway not far from Yosemite national Park. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the details that the owners, Roman and Laura, provided for their guests. Coffee on either the front porch or the back deck was just lovely. The accommodations were warm and inviting. We will definitely return
