Beautiful house set in lovely grounds better than the description. The property was clean and well maintained. Tracey was very helpful and was on hand if we needed anything truly first class. beautiful house in a gorgeous setting
we stayed at the lime kiln for a big family gathering and loved every moment of it. there are so many activities in the surrounding area and the house is really well equipped with a well stocked kitchen and a huge dining table and lots of lovely outdoor space. we had a few toddlers that we needed to keep an eye on around the pond but Tracy the owner had made sure we were fully aware of everything before we booked and the house was just perfect when there were so many of us and we had amazing, starlit evenings gathered round the fire pit when the children were in bed. thank you for such great memories and for being such lovely and helpful owners/hosts we would absolutely recommend the house to anyone and we'll be back next year!
Thank you so much for the lovely review and I am so pleased that you all enjoyed the stay, we look forward to seeing you again soon, Cheers Tracy :)
Great location and a wonderful place for a family get together.
The house is quirky built into the back of a quarry and the remains of the lime kiln still very evident. Lots of outdoor space and small seating areas for groups or individuals to spend time away from the crowd and a huge dining room and sun deck to come together. Lots of crockery and cutlery and a huge gas aga which is fab for self catering with large numbers. We loved the BBQ/ fire pit on the sun roof and watching the bats come out at night and also the wildlife pond with some interesting dragonflies and newts.
Location is really good near to the A30 and easy drives to Dartmoor and both coasts and lots to do and explore. Nearest food shop is Okehampton. Fish and chips from Launceston were good. Would return here no problem.
