I came here with friends and family to celebrate my 30th birthday. The hosts were lovely and super responsive if needed. The house was perfect for our group. It had everything we needed, was spacious and the beds were comfortable. One thing we noticed is the bathroom doors didn't have locks. They closed just fine so our crew just made a rule to not enter if the door was closed. The walk to town is about 15 minutes but we welcomed the walk after stuffing our faces with food. :)
Would definitely return!
Wonderful stay at the Farmhouse!
My extended family enjoyed a lovely long weekend at the Relaxed Village Farmhouse. I actually rented the home for my adult nieces, nephews, and spouses as they attended my daughter's wedding at a local vineyard. The home is a short half mile walk into Greenport. Nice porch to relax on with a late afternoon glass of wine. Comfy beds and nicely decorated. There was a small issue with the plumbing, and Julia and her husband got right on it and fixed it quickly. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Julia, for sharing your home with my family!
Beautiful large home
Such a beautiful home. Extremely spacious and well tended with the added bonus of a very nice backyard and picnic table which we took advantage of for a family meal. Julia and Jim were the perfect hosts - quick to respond to queries but otherwise unobtrusive. We had a great time!!
Julia was WONDERFUL to work with and the house had so much old school charm! Lots of quirky, old school characteristics of this house that made it so unique and fun! We were VERY happy there!
It was our pleasure to host you. Hopefully, we will see you in Greenport again soon!
Perfect Weekend Away
This home the absolutely perfect! I planned a weekend trip with ten women who all fit in the house without any problems - the beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house made it so we all had our own spaces, and with three showers/bathrooms there was never much of a wait. Theres also a grill & table outside where we enjoyed dinners. The house is an easy ten minute walk from down town Greenport where we spent time during the day and night! Greenport is the perfect harbor town filled with great food, breweries, shops, boats, activities, beach front bars, oyster shacks and extremely welcoming people. We even fit in an afternoon trip to shelter island, where we had planned a SUP board activity at sunset beach! However, having such a comfortable and welcoming house to return to each day was what truly what made the trip, and to end the weekend we arranged a private yoga session in the beautiful and spacious back yard!! Julia was the most welcoming host there could be, I honestly felt like I was interacting with a friend or family member the whole trip. She not only welcomed us on day one with her husband and dogs, but was in touch all weekend long to answer any questions, concerns, and even was on-call with great activity ideas! I will most definitely be retuning to this house and town for future vacations, and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
You are so sweet. Thank you for your thoughtful review. Please come back soon and visit us!
Beautiful quaint cottage, exactly what you picture when you envision Long Island wine country
The house is not only gorgeous, but very spacious and perfectly located. It is kept very neat and clean. They have an adorable front porch that lures you to sit and relax. The gardens are beautiful and they have a large backyard with a picnic table under a vine covered pergola, which is perfect for enjoying a lovely New England summer. My favorite part about this house was that it is within walking distance from all the hot spots on my itinerary! The owners also gave us a long list of restaurants and other nearby attractions, which was super helpful. There is a spectacular vineyard (Kontokosta) within a mile from the house. And downtown is only a mile away, which has numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. The owners are kind, easy to work with, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend renting this house to anyone looking for a perfect, relaxing vacation in the midst of Long Islands iconic wine country!
It was our pleasure to have you stay with us. We are so happy that you enjoyed the place and would love to see you again soon!
