Villa “Joanna’s Manor house” is approved by Greek Tourism Organisation with license number: 1041K91002906101.

“Joanna’s Manor house” or “Archontiko tis Ioannas“ as it is called in Greek is a historical house which was build in 19th century and it was totally renovated in 2007.

The villa took it’s name from the first owner who was Mrs. Joanna, a respectful rich lady who lived there in the previous century according to the village history.

Actually the villa is separated in two buildings and totally independent houses each other which are sharing the same garden, giving you an advantage to stay in the same place with your friends and have your own private space at the same time! The villa can accommodate 8 people in beds and up to 10 people.

Both buildings together are 160 square meters in total offering 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 kitchen areas and 2 living room areas.

More specifically, the right part of the villa has only one floor which contains the living room with HD satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom with shower, one bedroom with 2 single beds and the main double bedroom which also has an en-suite bathroom with shower.

The left part of the villa contains another living room area with HD satellite TV, another fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower on the ground floor.

On the first floor there is only the main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower and finally in the attic of the house you will find an other bedroom with 2 single beds.

In outdoor area of the villa offers 100% privacy even though it is located in the middle of the village, having neighbouring houses next to it!

Between the two separate buildings in an area of 150 square meters you will be able to enjoy a 25 square meters swimming pool which is located in a higher level and offering safety for young children, the barbecue and the dining area under the trees’ shadow!

Ideal quiet place in the heart of cretan village

To be honnest, we were cautious to be in the middle of a village regarding noise and more.

It was all the opposite, very nicely decorated villas in the middle of a quiet and protected real Cretan village : Tavernas, backeries, a little food shop with all what is necessary, and a pharmacy because even in holidays, you can be ill.......

Very good servicing (cleanning and bedding changing) as well as general equipment, it was just perfect.

We met the owner for whom it is very important that the renters are feeling good and do not have any kind of problem, point that is very pleasant.

We have also to mention the very reactive and advising presence of Mr Kostas, always available for any questions, and that from the beginning of the prospection this winter !

Sehr gut

Die Villa bestehend aus 2 Gebäuden, für uns als Großfamilie mit mehreren Generationen, perfekt mit vielen Schlafzimmern und TOP Note für viele Badezimmern. Die Gebäuden sind exzellent ausgestattet, mit 2x Küche, 2x Herd und Öfen, Spülmaschinen genug Tische usw. sehr gut. Swimming pool ist höher gestellt mit einer kleinen Leiter, also von uns deswegen extra ausgesucht wegen Kleinkind dabei. Bietet daher mehr Sicherheit für kleine Kinder, wobei man natürlich eh auch weiterhin aufpasst, aber dass unsere kleine Enkelin nicht sofort reinfallen konnte war sehr wichtig für uns. Whirlpool auch sehr beliebt. Pigi ist ein kleines Dorf, der kleine Supermarkt, 2 Minuten zu fuss ist TOP ausgestattet und Preise absolut ok, Obst sogar billiger manchmal als woanders. Das Zorbas Restaurant in der Nähe, begrenzte Auswahl an Speisen aber dafür sehr gute Qualität, sehr freundliche Besitzer und wirklich günstig und nur wenige Minuten zu fuss von der Villa. Pigi klein und ruhig aber nicht schlecht weg von dem Trubel der Stadt und Strand in der Nähe. Aber ein Auto ist nötig. Strand zu Fuss nicht einfach, die Straße ziehst sich doch sehr. Und für Großeinkauf, Besuche in die Nachbarstädt, usw. ist ein Auto nötig. Viele Parkplätze nur ein paar Minuten die Straße runter. Service von der Agentur, die uns betreutete auch exzellent. Jede Frage per Email oder Telefon schnell beantwortet, schnelle Hilfe falls benötigt, regelmäßige Fragen ob alles in Ordnung sei und sehr freundlich. Housekeeping verbrachte viele Stunden jedes Mal um alles inkl. sämtliche Zimmer, Badezimmer, Pool und Whirlpool sauber zu halten mehr als hilfsbereit.

“Joanna’s Manor house” is located in the centre of Pigi village, only 2 km away from the long sandy beach of Rethymno!

“Pigi” is one of the biggest villages in Rethymno with great history as well!

Staying in Pigi village you will be able to find almost everything that you might need in a walking distance! The village has many taverns, supermarkets, bakeries, cafes and one pharmacy store.

Also very close to the villa (2 - 5 km) are the well known tourist areas of “Platanias” and “Adelianos Kampos” with many organised beaches, night clubs, big market and restaurants!

The location of the villa is giving you the advantage to not rent a car as everything (included the beach) are very close! You will also be able to use the bus which goes to Platanias area and to Rethymno city which is about 10 minutes away.
