We are a family of 3 who have owned the house since 2001, & we love it. We have a few other friends who have bought nearby, as we have been so happy there. Our house is friendly, fun & very well set out, all of our many friends who have come to stay have loved being there!
Dominic Robinson purchased this villa in 2001
The outdoor kitchen is the best feature of the property, as it is so close to the swimming pool. Kids can swim while adults prepare lunch & dinner, & it is safe. Lovely to relax under the outdoor kitchen shade, fabulous to be able to prepare & cook outside or just relax in the shade while others sunbath! Plenty to do close by with Lac St Cassien, Fayence an old Roman village etc, & more delights further afield. Children/ guests (babies through teens to adults) always sleep late, as we have no traffic noise, nor neighbours over looking us, & our window shutters mean the house is very dark & very conclusive to everyone enjoying hours of rest!
The outdoor kitchen so close to the swimming pool.
The quiet environment which means it is very relaxing!¬
......Lovely house – it’s a fantastic place and we all really enjoyed staying there – the pool was like bath water – we were outside practically the whole time
......We had a fantastic time, you have a perfect property, will recommend to friends
......We all had a superb time ... it is a great place in a wonderful location and was everything we were after
wonderful traditional villa with fantastic in door and out door entertainment and dining space.
i regularly stay here for a relaxing break after the madness of cannes film festival and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home vibe with the addition of hot sun, a fabulous pool and gorgeous surrounding countryside for walks or bike rides.
That's not to say its all peace and quiet, the surrounding villages have a plethora of music festivals and activities, there is a fantastic farmers market with to die for rotisserie and a great choice of places to dine out. There also a supermarket, bar and tabac a short stroll away.
you are well looked after by the couple next door who oversee the villa should you need any assistance otherwise you have complete privacy and the owners Lyndy and Dom are really great to deal with - very hands on in ensuring you have everything you need for your stay.
The villa is well kept, clean and homely - its also fantastically well stocked with the added bonus of a super comfy lounge with TV for lazy / recovery nights :)
i am a totally lazy fat busting sun worshiper when i come here and it totally rejuvenates me before heading back to the madness of my working world - i fully intend to book again this year and it cant come round quick enough!
This is a really cosy, but deceptively large villa, set near a real gem of a hill town that is easily less than an hour's drive from Nice. Easy to find too.
The place itself has a lovely authentic, rustic feel but has all the 'mod cons' - TV, video, internet, - necessary to keep the kids happy at the end of the day. It is a really easy place to relax in.
We spent most of our time by the pool, or playing with the kids in the private garden (which is sizeable, so plenty of opportunity to get some private time too).
A big plus was the brick barbeque area near the pool with a covered dining area and fridge. It meant we could cook and eat out every night. Great for when we had friends round to visit.
We've been back, so recommended.
The house is in a beautiful area of France, comfortable but in need of some TLC and upgrading of the facilities. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we visited some old haunts and discovered new ones, as we visit France often That said we were very disappointed with the condition of sun loungers, the quality of crockery and kitchen equipment, the condition of the pool area which is in need of repair, and the fact which is not clear from the photographs that the pool is not private as the neighbours windows overlook the pool directly, which should be advised to tenants, the village is not a comfortable walk as we were advised, therefore all visits had to be by car. The local couple who maintain the property were fantastic, and communication with the owner when we had a problem with the pool, was excellent, and dealt with promptly.
The villa lies in the valley below the beautiful Roman village of Fayence, 40 minutes from Nice airport, and approximately 30 minutes from the beach. Nearby is the stunning Lac St. Cassien (15 mins) for fishing and water sports. Further afield is Grasse (30 minutes), the world's perfume capital, and the Gorge du Verdon, Europe's 'Grand Canyon'. Plus St. Tropez (60 mins), Cannes (30 mins), Monaco (1 hour) and Italy (90 mins)
Other Activities: Gliding, Microlighting, white-water rafting and some of the best cycling in Europe
