- At the Back of the swimming pool (11mx5m) fenced, very sunny with views of the park. swimming pool shared with the owner, open access in respect of each.

Amazing property, friendly owners. Give it a go, you will love it!

I must admit, we thought we were taking a bit of a risk when we booked this property. The lack of reviews, the only one being quite negative, didn't reassure us. However it looked like it had charm so we thought we would give it a go.

However, as soon as we walked through the front door and onto the flagstone floor in the entrance hall, we knew we had hit the jackpot. The place is truly stunning and absolutely massive. Each of the rooms has soul, with high ceilings, lots of light and simple furnishings.

The bedroom above the kitchen, to the left of the house, is a real highlight. With it's fantastic wooden beams it feels like you are living in a castle.

The living room/lounge is another really special place. It has the most amazing solid wood table, you can imagine a feast or banquet being consumed on it hundreds of years ago. You could probably seat 16 people around it. The sofa looked brand new but not out of place. Wifi was recently installed with quite good download speed although due to the thick walls (circa 1 metre), the signal doesn't travel very far. Yes it doesn't have a television, no we didn't miss it.

The kitchen is quite rustic but works really well. It is incredibly well equipped and has enough plates, glasses and cutlery for everyone.

My kids favourite place was the swimming pool. It is of really good quality and is kept spotlessly clean by the owners. Watching the robotic pool cleaner doing it's job at night was very strange!

I am not going list every room as I don't want to take away the suprise and delight we had when exploring the house for the first time.

What I will say is that this house is not your standard holiday rental. It has that extra something that is missing from most places you stay at. A lot of this comes from the incredibly friendly owners who obviously care about the property and the people that stay in it.

If you are looking for a big, interesting, great value, classic property, that can house up to three families (or just the one) then this is the place for you.

Avis mitigé...

Le charme des vieilles pierres en pleine campagne.

Nous regrettons cependant les taches d´humidité dans plusieurs pièces, l'humidité ambiante au rez de chaussée.

L'ensemble de la location mériterait un bon rafraîchissement.

Le bien loué reste en dessous de nos attentes....

Owner's Response: je comprends votre déception après une semaine de temps pluvieux dans notre région habituellement ensoleillée .Ce mauvais temps ne vous a pas permis de profiter du charme du lieu et de la piscine et a accentué l'humidité des vielles pierres .
