We have a king size master bedroom with walk in closet and double sinks. This room has fabulous views of the ocean from the balcony. The second bedroom is a queen size bed and it's own bathroom with a balcony and large window with breathtaking ocean views. There is a spare room with a 3rd queen size bed. We have a full kitchen with filtered drinking water, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker, blender and cooking pots and pans and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The pool and patio living area is surrounded by grass and closed in yard that is outlined by lush shrubs. There is a fountain that runs in the pool to offer a tranquil water sound. The back yard has a bbq and a fountain to enjoy the sound of water as well. You can hear the ocean from the house but removed from all the noise from town. Very comfortable home with excellent caretakers. There are boogie boards for you to use at the beach and beach towels. We have and outdoor shower for you to rinse off when you come from the beach and before entering the house. There is an outdoor spigot for you near the pool if you need to rinse feet before entering the pool.

About Dave and Coreen Wright
My husband and I have been coming to Chacala for more than 10 years and have fallen in love with the town and the people. We built our home on a hill overlooking the ocean. We are surrounded by jungle that gives the house privacy and comfort. Our passion at home in Evergreen Colorado is mountain biking, and skiing. Now we enjoy stand up paddle boarding and boogie boarding in Chacala. We want to share our home with you.

the house is Beautiful and roomy
We really enjoyed the house, it's really beautiful and the pool was great since it was so hot.
The air conditioner went out in one of the rooms, we called the owner and they were right on it to try to repair it.
Patricia was great! Neat and clean and very understanding about the AC unit. Thank you!

We spent 4 nights in Chacala. The home is beautiful, new and very clean. The home had all the amenities to make our stay very pleasant , and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the views and especially the 'al fresco' dining from the kitchen counter and pool/patio. Would most definitely stay here again.
Fabulous find, the home & the village. Loved it!
My husband and three young children stayed in this house in February 2017; the property is brand new, all furniture and appliances are in perfect condition and it has a number of unique features. Our favourite was the thatched roof, poolside seating area that opens right off of the kitchen; we enjoyed both our breakfasts and end-of-day snacks in this adorable little space. Each room in the house is spacious and boasts stunning views of the pool and/or the ocean, albeit quite a ways in the distance. The master bedroom and en suite are lacking nothing, but the small room immediately adjacent did not have a door or air-conditioning. My 4 year old son slept fine in there, but I am not sure that an adult would. The third room is actually a separate space on the second floor, separated from the master by an outdoor hallway. It has its own en suite and is really more like another master bedroom.
The neighbouring rental properties are quite close (across a small street) and quiet time comes into effect as of 9pm as sound travels easily from yard to yard. Although we appreciate privacy, we did not find the proximity of these other properties to be a problem and the neighbours - the few times we saw them - were all very friendly.
This property is about a 10 minute, walk through the friendly and inviting little fishing village of Chacala (estimated population of 300). There are no resorts or clubs in this community, but other tourists can find accommodation at a number of small "posadas" (hostels, small hotels). We felt very safe at all times and quickly came to recognize the locals who greeted us with a smile as we passed. There were abundant restaurant options (most of them closed by 6pm on week days but the options that remained were still fabulous) and the palm tree lined beach was beautiful, quiet and pleasantly absent of all but a few friendly vendors.
We would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.
Castle on a hill!
We had an absolutely amazing time. The house was even better in person than in the pictures! Huge, grand, clean, with a wonderful view from most places in the house. The pool was refreshing and wonderful and the kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs. It is close the the main town where we could pick up food stuff/eat at restaurants/street food/beach, but far up enough to hear nothing but the ocean when we are home. There was even a massage therapist who came to the house upon request at a very reasonable rate and we had a fantastic experience with her.
The Wrights were really responsive to our needs while we were in the house, as were the local team who came to look after/clean the house.
Chacala itself was perfect for what we were looking for - filled with local tourists, full of life and activity, but not overtly developed so you still feel like you are in Mexico, not some generic resort area. It was simply a perfect, wonderful stay.
We loved hosting Kelly and her group. Would welcome them back anytime.
There is hiking to a near by volcano. You can take a tour to Alta Vista to see the petroglyphs. Birding, Snorkeling at Las Cuervas beach - you can get there by boat.
