About Cassie March
Michael and I are both avid outdoor enthusiasts. We moved to Essex to be close to the mountains and away from the crowds. Both of us were raised in NW Montana and we haven’t ventured elsewhere for obvious reasons! We are excited to share our slice of paradise with you!
Cassie March purchased this House in 2017
Why Cassie March chose Essex
Quiet. Out of town. No cell service. Our backyard is millions of acres of Wilderness and our front yard is majestic Glacier National Park. From our doorstep we can hike, hunt, pick huckleberries, ski, and explore some of the best wild country Montana has to offer. Great fishing and scenic floating is just minutes away on the Middle Fork of the Flathead river. Its a quick jaunt over to the Rocky Mountain Front and not too far from town for supplies, friends for laughs, and family for support.
What makes this House unique
During your stay, you’ll probably end up spending more time outside than in the cabin! Our spacious rock patio, complete with fire pit, porch swing, and comfortable seating, is the perfect spot for star gazing, making smores, or enjoying the company of friends and family. We also provide you with firewood!
100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date. 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.

An amazing cabin at a great location
Oh, what an amazing week we had. First of, this cabin had everything we needed, starting from WiFi, comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, basic kitchen equipment and spices, first aid equipment and more, just everything we needed. Cassie was very nice from the beginning and was very patient and answered all of my questions. We where welcomed with a fresh ground coffee (that lasted for our entire stay) and huckleberry jam (yumm!). Cassie even provided bear spry for our safety in while hiking in glacier national park.
The cabin looks just like in the pictures, very beautiful, clean and lots of room to move around (not to mention the beautiful porch). Our only regret is that we didn't spend more time in the cabin :)
The location is great! Just in the middle, between the two entrance to the park.
I would point out two things about the cabin -
1. There isn't much day light in the cabin (which is a good thing if you want to wake up late). We turned on every light in the cabin, even during day time. I would also mention that the main light of the cabin (the one up in the cieling, in the middle of the room) was out. Cassie apologized about it, and of course we do understand that things like this happen and it is not that easy to bring someone so fast to fix it. We had enough lights, and it was romantic :)
2. The train. Oh my God, the train. Ok, this is not the first time I slept next to a railroad tracks, and Cassie did wrote that you can hear the train at night, we thought we can handle it, but boy was it loud! Luckily, we were so tiered from the hiking so even if we woke up from the noise, we went back to sleep immediately. The train is loud and lobg, sometimes it takes more than 2 min for the train to pass, so please keep that in mind when you book this place.
Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend you booking this place.
Great outdoor area. Do it
We really enjoyed the outdoor area when it wasn’t raining. The cabin was so cute and comfortable. It was nice to rest there after hiking all day. We were welcomed with coffee and prosecco when we arrived which was a sweet touch. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
It was a great escape to the mountains!
We loved the cute little cabin, tucked away on the mountain side! It had everything we needed to stay comfortably, we spent most of our time on the front deck, which was peacful and calm! It took a little bit to get use to the noise of the trains throughout the day and night but after night one, we enjoyed watching them pass by! It was truly a great little cabin for a family to unwind and unplug! We needed it! The cabin was central to both entrances to Glacier National Park, which made it easier to pick a side and go out and about for the day! With the going to the sun road closed off, it really made a difference staying halfway between the entrances! We can't wait to come back and would definitely choose to stay at this Cozy little Cabin again! The owners made us feel right at home, they were very thoughtful in the accommodations throughout the cabin, which made the stay even more relaxing! We highly recommend this little cabin!
