Fantastic apartment, modern spacious and secure.

The apartment is very close to La Caleta which is a 10 minute walk away, there are numerous seafood restaurants which were excellent, plus a couple of supermarkets which we used for essentials. We did take a bus 1.50 Euro ( plenty of taxis available 6 Euro) to Adeje a couple of times but we preferred La Caleta for its village charm. Magnolia Golf resort is a gated community and the apartment exceeded our expectations. We were very happy and will return.

Spacious modern apartment

A stylish and modern apartment in a quiet, upmarket part of La Caleta. It is well equipped and has a large garden/terrace with views of the mountains and the sea. It is about a 10 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants, although you should be aware that the walk back involves an uphill section. We will certainly be back.

Very nice Apartment

We stayed at Claudine's lovely apartment for 12 nights and had a wonderful time.

Built into the side of a mountain, It is a 3 bedroom apartment located inside a gated complex in the Magnolia Golf Resort - even though it is not actually on a golf course. It is hard to fault anything with the apartment itself. It is relatively new, well laid out and very clean. There are two bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with twin beds. It has got everything you would want in the line of appliances. It also has a really good Bluetooth speaker system which is easy to link into and which provides spectacular sound.

I have given the property 5 out of 5 as you couldn't really fault the actual property itself. However there are a few things that you should be aware of that are not obvious from the descriptions given and which we weren't aware of before we booked.

These are;

1. While the property is described as having air-conditioning, only two rooms are air conditioned namely the living area and the main en-suite bedroom.

2. The property is 600 metres downhill to the village of La Caleta which means it is 600 metres back up and the apartment itself is located on the top of a steep hill inside the complex. You need to climb another 15 steps to access the property from the road outside. We didn't use the underground car park so I am not sure where the lift is or how close it leaves you to the apartment entrance.

3. It would be practically impossible to stay here without a car or the liberal use of taxis.

4. It is not possible to open the main gate into the complex using the intercom system in the apartment which means that if you are booking a taxi you have to walk almost 200 metres downhill to the main gate to meet the taxi as taxis are not allowed to enter the complex for pick ups.

5. The taxi station is described as being a 3 minute walk. To the best of my knowledge the nearest taxi rank is in La Caleta itself which is closer to a 10 minute walk.

6. The closest shop in La Caleta (10 minute walk) only supplies the basics and to find a decent supermarket you need to drive about 5-7 minutes.

As I said at the outset, you can't fault the apartment itself and once you are aware of where the apartment is and the terrain around it, you will be fine.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much dear Denis and Geraldine for your opinion. We are delighted to know that you had a great time in our apartment. You are not entirely wrong in your remarks, I should have been more precise in the announcement, but I must however make some clarifications and additional information necessary for the future tenants, regarding your criticisms: 1. There is a ceiling fan in the other 2 bedrooms, but you should also know that in Tenerife, from October to May it hardly ever makes more than a maximum of 25/26 ° the day, and 18/20 the night ; With air this is quite supportable and even enjoyable without running the air conditioning. Besides, if the builder of a luxury residence designed so is that he had good reasons. 2. It is true that it is necessary to climb the inner private street to the residence to go to the apartment which is not 600m high, but only 200 m from the gate and an altitude of + 15m. It is probably not recommended for very old people or with difficulty walking, but not for the able-bodied and healthy. I'll make that clear in the announcement. Do not say you have to "climb" 15 steps (which is true from the outside) when you say you did not look for the elevator! Whether you have a car or not, you can reach the end of the street, directly in the garage at the foot of the elevator, and therefore have only 2 x 5 meters to walk and no stairs. It is also this slightly elevated situation which allows the magnificent sea / mountain view, one of the best of the residence. Yes, you have to walk a bit, but out the precision / reserve I indicate in 2, I can not understand where is the problem of more or less 5 to 10 minutes walk - it depends on your walking speed to make 500 at 600m till the sea-La Caleta !. Are not you on holiday? So take the time to enjoy a good walking exercise! If taxis can not enter, it is to preserve your tranquility and that's fine as well. On arrival, if you do not have a car, our friend Julia who welcomes you can pack your luggage with her car, and at your departure I do not think it is difficult to get down luggage "all on wheels today "! I wish a great stay in La Caleta to our future tenants; We will always do our utmost to satisfy you.

We were a party of 4 with a 7 month old baby and we had a fantastic holiday in this apartment. It is amazing, very tastefully decorated, loads of space and very very clean. The views from the balcony are great and we had a good view of Tenerife's firework displays on New Years Eve. We didn't have a car as it wasn't needed, about a five minute walk to all the lovely restaurants in La Caleta and the beach. The best restaurant in our view was Char, we had an amazing meal here on Christmas Eve, highly recommended but must book as it was very popular. Would definitely recommend this apartment for friends or relatives, absolutely perfect.

The most beautiful white sand beach and the most exclusive district (El Duque) of the island (shopping center & luxury hotels) only 5 min drive (25 min walk). A wide selection of other beaches within walking distance:

The Caleta with several restaurant at the water's edge, is on the east side the start of a beautifully landscaped promenade along the sea for more than 8 km. to get to Las Américas & Los Christianos the 2 biggest tourist centers with huge beaches of fine sand (15 min by car), and from the other west, a wilder walk in a protected nature reserve taking you to a splendid cove of sand (25 mn on foot) and further to the beautiful small port "El Puertito" very preserved (cove of Marseilles in miniature). The set allowing you to make your walks a real unlimited fun.

Golf & tennis just 10 minutes walk. Paragliding (landing at the foot of the residence), Horse riding nearby. Bus station & taxis at 5-10 min.

Port of Los Cristianos port serving all other islands within 10 minutes drive. The Reina Sofia International Airport is only 15 minutes by motorway. Basic food amenities in the village & hypermarket & highway 3 km.
