About Tim and Eva Rhode

The Rhodes

Tim and Eva Rhode purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim and Eva Rhode chose Ohio

This home's unique California ranch design was chosen and built by beloved family members in the 50's. The extended Rhode family is very sentimental about the house and after managing it as a rental for several years, it was purchased from the estate so that it would remain in the family.

What makes this house unique

The location is wonderful and the home is well-stocked, including interior spaces that make it perfect for generational entertaining and group dining. This home makes vacationing together a breeze!

Very roomy and great for family gatherings.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was a great size for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. The children enjoyed the beach toys, bikes, and games. It was an easy walk to the beach. Plenty of beach chairs and and water toys. The linens and towels were included which made things easier for us. Our children were 7, 9 and 11-They playey on the back patio and we could watch them from the family room and dining room. There is a nice play area in the basement. The kids liked the restaurant-like booth tables there and playing cards in the evenings.

We did cook meals in, for the most part, and the the kitchen was well stocked.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

Just a suggestion-we could have used a blender, a mixer -to make a cake ( we were celebrating a couple of birthdays), and a crock pot would have been nice but not a big deal. Overall, we had a great visit. Thank you Tim and Eva for sharing your home.

Very Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Your house was one of the best places we stayed at. Very clean and had everything we needed. We definitely loved the big setting room...our kids said it reminded them of the Brady Bunch living room ;) Loved the short walk to the beach and the walk to the grocery store and DQ was pretty nice also. Sitting out on the patio in the evening was so peaceful too! Thank you again for opening your home to us.

Sunrise, Sun-fun, Sunset, and Splendors

  • 5 of 5

This lovely home has all the splendors in life for a wonderful vacation. Friendly neighborhood makes for a safe and fun area, great for short walks or bike rides to the beach. Crystal clear waters lap the shore line, during strolls, for beautiful sunrises and sunsets over Lake Erie. The quiet little town of Huron offers just enough to keep everyone satisfied; family restaurants, ice cream stands and local parks. There is even some great spots for rail-fans. This home has all the amenities that keeps this house a 5 star stay. Owners worked with us to keep us pleased.

Great vacation home

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing! All the comforts of home and more. Loved the early walks on the beach. The bikes were a plus. All beds were comfortable also a very clean house. Loved the family room with no tv. Surprisingly that was the room my family choose over all while at the house (lots of talking and bonding). Once again thanks a ton for a great vacation!!!
