A comfortable and cozy condo that has the most incredible view of and proximity tothe beach.
We just completed our weeklong stay at Sugar Dunes #8 on Saturday, October 13. On October 9, we evacuated for a couple days due to Hurricane Michael. We returned as soon as the curfew was lifted (before power was restored or most residents had returned) because we enjoyed the condo so much and were desperate to return our vacation. From every vantage point in the kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom and bathroom, there is a clear and unobstructed view of the ocean. From the wraparound balcony, you can talk to people on the beach and watch your children play while you relax. The kitchen has every amenity you can wish for and the house is decked out with books galore and lovely furnishings. Despite the hardship of evacuating, we so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location. We cannot wait to return!
Hi Elsabe- Thank you for your great review. We apologize that Hurricane Michael interrupted your vacation, but glad you were able to come back one he left the area. Please return next year for hopefully an uninterrupted vacation.
Beautiful beachfront property
beachfront with great views
super convenient walkout to beach
spacious and comfortable
very well-stocked kitchen with lots of appliances, pots/pans, dishes, etc.
great quality furniture, comfortable beds
key-less lock on front door
tons of books
Seagrove Beach location - not crowded, near parks & lakes, gorgeous sand, sparkling clear water, abundant wildlife
abysmal internet service and/or wifi router (dropped out MANY times a day)
no way to secure beachfront door from the outside
faded/stained upholstery on living room furniture
two steps down from kitchen to living area presented fall risk
no access to garage
master bath toilet kept running; Southern Vacation Rentals not quick to fix it
We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo. We love the views as well. We apologize for the inconvenience of the internet and the toilet issue. We did have to call a vendor to fix the toilet in which we are at the mercy of their timeline.
We hope that you join us for another beach vacation in the future.
BEAUTIFUL BEACH LOCATION/ CONDO NOT AS GOOD
We had a party of 10. We loved the location and the fact that we were steps away from the beach. On the down side we had trouble with the internet the whole time we were there. 5 kids need their internet! We had no dryer for the entire stay. We arrived on Saturday evening late. Got up Sunday to do laundry because we had already been traveling for 2 days prior to arriving. We packed light EXPECTING that we could laundry every day. Soooo we washed one load of clothes. It took from appx 10 am until 7 that night to get them dry. I immediately messaged. I was told it would be Tuesday before anyone could come out. They came. It was a problem they couldn't fix. The company did pick up our laundry that day and return it the next day. All this time they are promising that the next day it would be fixed. The dryer was not fixed until the day we left (Friday). With no other offer to take care of our laundry.
Also one of the bedrooms was HOT. The A/C never cooled it down. The shower in the master bedroom had mold. We found a retainer in the drawers of the bathroom. (Meaning that it had not been cleaned good. They called after we got home to see if it was ours.) and last but not least we had to go out and purchase a coffee pot while we were there because theirs was a piece of cr!!!.
