About Eric and Christy Gieser
Our family lives in Alaska but loves to spend time with our extended family in Tucson.
Eric and Christy Gieser purchased this Mobile Home in 2013
Why Eric and Christy Gieser chose Tucson
We bought this property as a way to have easy access to one of our favorite vacation spots and to thaw out from the cold Alaska winters. Did we mention the view?!

Beautiful home on a hill with a beautiful view
The hilltop oasis was a beautiful place to stay. It's very private and quiet, except for the sounds of wildlife. We loved the bobcat (who also had kittens). The kitchen has very good appliances and is well stocked with everything you need to cook and eat with. The living room is very comfortable, bedrooms and bathrooms very nice, master on one side of the house and other bathroom and two bedrooms on the other side. The pool, hot tub and yard are also wonderful. It's perfect for a family gathering, and close to Saddlebrook where we visited relatives.
Thank you so much for this glowing review. If you happen to have any pictures of the bobcat kittens we would love to feature on our website, with your permission. Please come back!
A Good Place with Nice Views
We had a great time at this rental. Stayed for a long weekend to visit my daughter who goes to the UofA. The house was pretty comfortable for the whole family, and we all especially enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The porch was so nice with a great view of the mountains and good privacy. The hot tub was really nice too. If it hadn't been cold and raining, we would have enjoyed the pool too. The house was nice, and the property landscaping and outdoor options were even nicer. It also surprised us how much shopping was in the area. The Biosphere nearby was cool too.
Very Nice House
Great house that has a very private setting. It was very well stocked and furnished. All we needed to buy was our own food. The owners were very helpful and we had zero problems. Great pool and view of the mountains.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! We strive to make things as hassle free as possible for our guests. Love to have you back!
Beautiful and secluded with many amenities
This rental is an exceptional value. We loved every part of staying here. It's remote without feeling completely isolated (although the brass sign at the entrance down below is easy to miss.) Everything was comfortable and high end without making me feel like I had to tip toe around. The house is incredibly well-stocked, from kitchen and bar equipment, to linens, to sundries to games and books. The internet is so-so and the Direct TV was great for down time. The master bedroom mattress wasn't the greatest and I didn't like that the master bedroom skylight didn't have blinds or some sort of curtains...sunrise in summer is early and there were a couple of mornings I didn't want to be up with the sun. I read other reviews about the unheated pool being too cold but in June is it was absolutely perfect. The hot tub and the mini putting green were really fun, too. There was a learning curve for me on the A/C so make sure you read the directions in the book on the table as soon as you come through the door. Lots of room for family fun, lots of really well done outdoor space. We will be back to this one.
We visited nearby Catalina State Park and Biosphere2. This was a three-day pitstop on a three week road trip and this house is a great place to relax and have some downtime. Oh, and NONE of the pictures of the view do it justice. These mountains are stunning.
P.S. I didn't see the Coyotes but I could sure hear them!
Thank you very much for the detailed review. We take comments and suggestions to heart and modify accordingly. So glad you found some R & R at our place. Please come again!
Truly an Oasis!
Gorgeous views! Definitely enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Close enough to go to several interesting sites. Home was very comfortable and owner provided games and many items for our comfort! Would definitely book again
Thank you for your review. So happy you enjoyed the property. Please come back!
Great place, great views!
We were really happy with the house and amenities. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, there were lots of games and pool toys, the views are great, and everything was very clean! It was a bit of a drive to get to the places we wanted to see (for example: Sabino Canyon and the Desert Museum), but we knew the location wasn't central and the house/pool/views made up for it. And it was quiet, although we did hear coyotes one night! The only things that would make the stay perfect would be a heated pool and not having to take the garbage and recycling somewhere.
