This villa is situated on Troyhill with total privacy. In the middle of the rain forest of Saba. There are no nasty animals. No mosquito. The wooden house was build by architect Gordon Steen (USA)
The interior was designed by Jan des Bouvrie, a famous interior architect in The Netherlands.
It's earthquake and hurricane proof. There is a large living with a dining area, a study and 3 bedrooms with king size beds. Also 3 bathrooms. All bedrooms zre airconditioned. It's really the most beautiful house of Saba. You have to see more the pictures on www .sabavillas .com
My name is Hans Geijtenbeek and my family is one of the three Dutch families who built this unique Villa in 1993.
We rent our house about 6 months a year. The rest of the year we use it ourselves.
Hans & Yvonne Geijtenbeek purchased this villa in 1991
Because of the privacy. We bought this lot to built this unique house.
The house is a bit hidden in the Rainforest that's the reason our Queen of the Netherlands stayed several times in our House when she was visiting Saba. Also her son, our King Alexander did.
Privacy and an amazing view
The photos don't do it justice! Haiku House is just splendid. The views are magnificent. The rooms and beds extremely comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. Its location near the Queen's Garden Resort make it even better. Restful mornings, followed by a strenuous hike, a dip in the pool and the hot tub .... Heaven!!
Saba island is a magical place. It reminded us of Capri: a place for emperors.
This house is magnificent. Photos do not do it justice.
My wife and I have rented for our vacation multiple houses all around the world, but this house is the first in our list. It has everything we looked for: view, privacy, spaciousness.
In fact we spent a lot of time at home just relaxing, reading, cooking and enjoying the pool and the view. We left the house on few occasions: to explore the SABA hiking trails (at a walking distance from the house), visit the Spa at the hotel nearby, taking some diving classes, exploring the coastline and dining at the local restaurants and bars.
Michael and Albert, the property managers, made our arrival and stay in Saba easy and flawless. In every moment of our trip they were extremely helpful, full of precious advise, very responsive and proactive. They know Saba inside out. From hooking us up with a local fisherman, to recommending an organic farm where we could pick vegetables and fresh herbs for cooking; it seemed they always had a solution ready for our needs.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay in this house and we will be back!
