Casa Coco is a house in the best conceivable context in this part of Sicily. The house is located within the San Lorenzo Residence. A place with wide boulevards, direct access to a beautiful beach, but above all, a haven of well tended gardens, with lawns, flowers and palm trees. San Lorenzo is a seaside resort with low houses and wide sandy beaches. The coastal reserve VENDICARI is at about 1 km and can also be reached walking on the beach. The seaside village Marzamemi is at about 2 km.
Next to the house is a road that leads directly to the beach. The house consists of one bedroom with two single beds, a double bedroom, two bathrooms (one without shower) and a large living room with kitchen, fireplace, sitting area and dining table. There is also an outdoor shower. The living room leads to the veranda with sea view. All around the house there is a beautiful lawn.
From 1 April 2015 Casa Coco has WiFi!
We have been with Homeaway since 2006, proposing houses that are able to unfold Sicily's colours and charm at best.
Houses with quality furnishing in unique locations, with incredible views or with a pool, always accurately selected in order to satisfy our main wish: to see you falling in love with Sicily just like we did.
We provide you with transparent information and true pictures. What you see is exactly what you get. We will advise you as much as we can about travel info, transfers and car rental.
Dinners in villas and other extra services can also be arranged. Finally, our prices are final rates! There are no hidden additional costs. We are flexible with your arrivals and departures and if you need a late check-in this is usually possible.
This is a lovely house, in a gorgeous garden within a private complex and close to a beautiful beach. We had specifically enquired whether it was in a quiet location, and were assured that it was, however there is a lido just up the beach which was blaring out music on the weekend that we arrived. Happily that only lasted for the weekend. The owner was very welcoming and showed us how everything worked, however we would suggest that it would be useful to guests if there was a list of recommended restaurants in the area, and perhaps directions to the local supermarkets etc. The wi fi was good. The kitchen could be better equipped, specifically a bread knife and vegetable knife would be very useful. All in all however, we had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend it to people who don't want to stay in a resort, but would like somewhere a bit more remote.
This is a lovely villa in a gated complex , even better than expected from photos. its very quiet and right next to the beach , ideal if you dont like busy ,noisy places, we received a wonderful welcome . the gardens surrounding the villa are absolutely gorgeous with lots of plants, flowers ,shrubs and huge palms, also plenty of lawned area. the only slight moan is that we think there should be more sun loungers/beds with cushion pads and less chairs. highly recommended.
The Villa is in an ideal spot for a family beach holiday or a couple looking for a relaxing time.
Situated just a couple of minutes walk to a sandy beach and rocky coves there are 2 Lido's close by which would be very busy in the season and have bar and food options. In the opposite direction over some rocks and into the next bay is another lovely beach with a beach bar at the end.
The villa really needs a car although you can walk into Marzamemi along the beach about 40 minutes but only during the day.
The villa has good facilities but would benefit from a little refurbishment in the kitchen and main bathroom, it has the smallest shower ever in a reasonable size bathroom.
There was no wi fi when we were there but we found a 'hotspot' connection and the owners say they should have connection next year. Good wi fi access in and around the plentyfull good bar's and resturants in Marzamemi.
The satalite tv has only Italian channels so a DVD player would have been useful for the odd evening or wet day for children.
The directions to the villa are not good make sure you get the exact address as Casa Coco is a family name for the villa and nothing to do with the actual address.
There was very little detail of what was available in the area upon arrival so info on nearest shop, supermarket etc and opening times in the launguage of relevant guests would be useful and possibly a welcome pack for those arriving late at the villa.
Would we go back. Yes. P & H
++: problemloses Check-in/-out, freundliche und pünktliche Abwicklung/Schlüsselübergabe
++: Platzangebot, WLAN, Satelliten-TV
-: sehr kleine Dusche
Internet klappte prima.
San Lorenzo marks the beginning of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Sicilian coast. Here the shore is characterized by golden sand beaches, turquoise seas and white limestone rocks. San Lorenzo borders on the natural reserve of ‘Vendicari’. Here you’ll find a breathtaking variety of Mediterranean flora and fauna, exotic beaches and Byzantine ruins. It is also a veritable oasis of rest and tranquillity for an array of bird species. The tradition of all things marine is still very much alive in Marzamemi. It boasts many restaurants, pizzerias and shops selling delicious local produce such as locally caught and processed tuna and swordfish or the famous cherry tomatoes from nearby Pachino. Noto, a magnificent little city famous for its stunning Baroque architecture, lies 10 kilometres away. You can’t miss the traditional afternoon stroll down its main street. One of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean, Syracuse - famous for its Ancient Greek ruins - is situated just 40 kilometres away. The heart of modern Syracuse lies in its historical quarter, situated on the peninsula of Ortigia.
The neighbouring province of Ragusa has cities such as Ragusa Ibla and Modica, which are known for their Baroque architecture and their houses that have been dug out of the regions limestone rock. Ragusa is a popular destination for beach goers, as it boasts endless golden sandy beaches.
