CA' PANADA has heating in every room in the winter and is fully air-conditioned for the warmer months.

CA' PANADA is exceptionally well located in a peaceful and typically Venetian part of the Cannaregio district, right next to the Fondamente Nuove: one of the primary hubs for public transportation to and from Piazzale Roma and the Santa Lucia railway station, the airport and the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello and Lido. It is close to the San Giovanni and Paolo Basilica, Rialto, Ca' D' Oro, the well-hidden Miracle Church and but a 10-minute walk to the touristic centre of Saint Mark's Square. A maximum of six guests can be comfortably accomodated as required, in double or single beds.

CA' PANADA is suitable for families with children who need suitcase space and bathrooms galore. CA' PANADA is suitable for discerning couples or small groups in search of an apartment in a colourful part of the city where things feel authentic and where a large number of locals are still resident. CA' PANADA is suitable for elder guests with limited mobility (three steps only) who are after a safe and quiet home near the main attractions but away from the crowds.

About Giorgio and Maria

I love the authentic parts of this city where you can still find artisans at work and hear the local dialect being spoken. That's why my apartment is in Cannaregio. CA' PANADA is in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, close to the waterbuses and only a short walk away from the sights.

If, prior to making a decision, information is what you are after you may well want to browse my Homeaway Mobile Hospitality Manager section which supplies oodles of information on an extensive range of useful topics, or read our Guests' comments which are full of personal suggestions, or click on our piccolo website www.capanada.com which supplies further information about CA'PANADA and Venice.

Don't hesitate to drop me a line if any further information is required.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Ca'Panada was a perfect home away from home for our 3 generations. It is beautifully located on a quiet street, away from the crowded areas, but we were able to walk everywhere in less than 20 minutes. The apartment is charmingly decorated and very comfortable, with plenty of space for privacy and for hanging out together. We highly recommend CaPanada as a comfortable, convenient and charming apartment.

  • 5 of 5

This property is exactly as advertised, but more spacious...the photos dont do it justice!😄 Very well equipped, well situated in Canneregio,...a residential area away from the crowds, yet close to everything! Giorgio was a very helpful host and communication prior to arrival was professional....our best accommodation on our Italy trip!!

Perfect Venice stay!

  • 5 of 5

We were two couples, and the apartment was perfect for us! Giorgio was great - communicated every requested detail from the time we booked, met us right on time at the water taxi stand, and took the time to orient us to the area and the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet, which is lovely, but a two minute walk to the local transportation and 5-15 minute walk to ALL Venice attractions! Every possible need was covered in the apartment from plastic wrap to coffee. We stayed three nights, and hated to leave. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. Thank you for everything, Giorgio!!!!

Read my review and rent this place!

  • 5 of 5

My favorite place we have ever rented and I could write pages, and tried to, but ran out of room, so I'll try to hit the highlights...

First things first, ease of payment. We were able to pay online with no hassles. In the past we have had to wire money to a different rental ( in London) and there were snags with that, and we started our Italy trip in Rome, where after paying a small deposit via Paypal, we then found out a few days before our trip that the balance was due on arrival in Euro! I don't love walking around with over a thousand dollars in cash.

Next, the location. We arrived by train and then took a water bus about three stops to the stop nearest the apartment where we were met by one of the owners. It was not even a five minute walk to the apartment.

One thing that is really great about that particular waterbus stop is that the airport waterbus can be picked up at that stop, as can the waterbus that goes out to the other islands, Murano, Burano, etc, that are worth visiting. Our flight got moved up and was pretty early and we were not sure we could rouse our three teenagers, so we arranged for a water taxi to pick us up at that waterbus stop just to make sure we got to the airport on time. So it's a useful landmark from that perspective too. At the same time, it's not a bad walk at all to St. Mark's Square and you get to see so much along the way. The first walk I wished I could have marked my way with chalk, but you learn quickly and getting lost in the maze of Venice is part of the fun. We walked back and forth to the apartment a few times a day and it was a quick walk. I loved walking home at night as you went from the very busy St. Mark's square through streets packed with shops and then gradually to our own quiet neighborhood.

Lastly, the apartment itself was lovely and immaculate. When we arrived it was rainy and overcast and everything was brick and seemed kind of cold. But you go through an iron gate to a little courtyard filled with bright flowers and then continue on into a very nicely decorated and welcoming apartment. On the flight home this morning, I was really sad not to get to walk back to my Venetian " home" tonight. The bedrooms were decorated beautifully, the bathrooms and kitchen were spotless and modern. The windows in the kitchen opened onto a canal! We all felt like we could live there forever. I hope we will return to Venice soon and if I do, I know where I will stay.

Spent 3 nights in Venice with my family (party of 5). The apartment was lovely and was more than big enough for the 5 of us. Would highly recommend. The owners were very helpful throughout.

Location

Car: not necessary

Ca' Panada is well located in a quiet and peaceful part of the Cannaregio district. It's a two minute walk to the Fondamente Nuove where you can conveniently catch water buses to most parts of Venice, Piazzale Roma, the railway station, the airport and the islands of Murano, Burano, Torcello and Lido. It's a short walk to the San Giovanni and Paolo Basilica, the Church of Miracles, Rialto and Ca' D'Oro, and is a 15 minute walk to Saint Mark's Square. It's a spot on choice for families with children who need space to sprawl, small culturally interested groups in search of the 'real' Venice and elderly guests with limited mobility who don't want cumbersome steps and stairs and do want excellent security.
