|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Casa Rosa, built in 2013, was let for the first time late in 2014. It is light and airy and very spacious. It has full air conditioning throughout, Internet, and a drinking water tap in the kitchen as well as the normal hot and cold for your comfort and convenience. Of course, the kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge/ freezer, washing machine, coffee machine, toaster, kettle etc.
There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The two bedrooms upstairs each have an ensuite shower room, toilet and basin and share a large, completely private south facing terrace with spectacular views to the sea. There is a double daybed and bistro table and chairs on the terrace. The ground floor bedroom has a large bathroom immediately next door.
There is a top quality large leather sofa, armchair, and double sofa bed in the lounge as well as 2 large footstools, side tables and central coffee table. The solid oak dining table easily extends to seat 8 people. A cot is available upon request. All bedrooms are air conditioned.
The swimming pool is surrounded by a large sun terrace and we have six top quality sun beds to relax on and enjoy the amazing views.
The gardens are landscaped naturally with shrubs, trees and native plants. Casa Rosa sits in the middle of its own large plot, guaranteeing privacy and quiet. In the garden down below the front of the house, there is an old well (secured with a locked iron grille!) and some mature orange trees. Guests are free to wander around the grounds and explore.
We have created a Petanque court for enjoying family competitions. We also have a swing ball for the more energetic. There is a good selection of games, books and DVD's in the villa.
We have installed a large retractable sunshade on the rear of the villa to give you a bit of protection from sun while enjoying the beautiful views while dining or sunbathing.
All in all, we hope you will love staying at Casa Rosa, and return again and again.
For your reassurance Casa Rosa has an "Alojamento Local" (letting licence) and is registered with the Portuguese authorities to ensure specific safety standards and regulations are met. When considering other rental properties, please make sure that they are legal to be rented out. It is a legal requirement that the number (949/AL) be displayed in the property description.
We fell in love with the location, it is quiet yet only a 10-15 minute drive to the hustle and bustle of the vast flat beaches of the Eastern Algarve at Pria Verde, Manta Rota, Fabrica, Cacela Vehla, and a little further, Cabanas and Tavira. If you wish to explore, Spain is just a 20 minute drive away across the Guadiana river, via a spectacular bridge, which is the border between Portugal and Spain. 30 km up the river is the Portuguese village of Alcoutim, with the Spanish town of Sanlucar de Barremeda across the water, and reached by a small passenger ferry. From there you can, if you are brave enough, take a zip wire ride back into Alcoutim!
There are several golf course nearby, an equestrian centre at Almargem, the Ria Formosa Natural Park, and much much more.
The views from Casa Rosa are breathtaking and the surrounding landscape full of wildlife to watch and enjoy. With such a large plot you are guaranteed privacy and security, and hopefully, a wonderful, memorable holiday.
Casa Rosa is a modern, well designed and very well furnished private villa. The villa is located on a hillside with stunning views. The standard of the villa is luxury. The beds, bathrooms, furniture, kitchen, pool and outside areas are first class. Jo and Paul maintain the villa to a very high standard and we even got a surprise mini clean and sheet change half way through our two week stay. There are two really good restaurants (Fernandas and Bela Vista) nearby although I would say a car here was essential. We enjoyed visiting the surrounding areas including Manta Rota, Tavira and Monte Gordo. We also went over the bridge to Spain on a couple of occassions once to Seville and once just for a tapas lunch!
The villa and pool area are so lovely that wherever we went we always looked forward to returning to our own bit of heaven. We would love to holiday here again in the future.
Beautiful stunning villa in a quiet location with the most comfortable beds ever, would definitely recommend.
Paul & Jo are on hand if ever you need anything.
The property fully matched its description and we were not in any way disappointed. In addition, it was very clean and maintained to a high standard. Jo and Paul were very welcoming And helped us settle in very quickly. Furthermore, they were forthcoming with there recommendations in regards to restaurants, activities etc., which we found very useful. We can't praise them enough. We would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Rosa to anyone.
Lovely Villa. You will not be disappointed. Very quiet and peaceful. Villa excellent, clean and modern.
What a lovely place to spend a holiday in. From the outset the managers, Jo & Paul offer a fantastic & friendly service, where nothing is too much trouble, with suggestions of places to eat, shop & even horseride. We couldn't have asked to be looked after better!
The property is finished to a high standard with comfortable beds & top quality bathrooms. The kitchen, dining & lounge areas are spacious, with everything imaginable supplied, & very comfortable.
The outside area is fabulous, with a glorious pool, sun loungers & dining table & chairs. There is even a pétanque area, it is so spacious, & lots sof parking space. The view out to sea & the Spanish mainland is spectacular, but what is really overwhelming is how quiet & peaceful it is. There really is no noise from around & there are no villas near enough to create any disturbance to your pleasure. My favourite time of day was early in the morning, enjoying reading on the top balcony, from the bedroom, & gazing out at the view before the sun got too hot to sit out.
A pleasant 1K walk takes you to a fantastic family run restaurant, which is so popular with the locals, it is busy lunch & dinner times, serving faultless food. Make sure you try the black cockles & black pork, followed by the almond, fig & carob tart -to die for! You need the walk back just to ease the full stomach!
Overall, thoroughly recommend a stay at Casa Rosa - the welcome you will receive from not only Jo & Paul, but also the local Portuguese people, will ensure it is a holiday to remember!
Everything was perfect, the kids were very happy with the pool en de WI-FI.
The house was very clean when we arrived, good climate controle, a lot of privacy, complete furniture.
Jo and Paul were very kind and always so helpful.
Casa Rosa, the place to be.
Corte Antonio Martins is a small village set in beautiful countryside between Tavira and Vila Nova de Cacela. The villa is set in a substantial garden and offers peace, privacy and a private swimming pool. At Casa Rosa, you are fortunate to benefit from the best of both worlds: a perfect tranquil location with amazing views to the East Algarve coast and across to Spain but you are still only 5 kms from the town of Vila Nova de Cacela. There you will find a good choice of restaurants, shops and bars as well as supermarkets, a train station and a three banks. There is also a daily market selling fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and local produce. A little further afield is Villa Real do Santo Antonio where you can catch the ferry to Spain or you can drive across the border via the impressive Guadiana International Bridge, just 19 km from Casa Rosa, for a day out and a change of culture. Remember that Spain is an hour ahead of Portugal. The picturesque town of Tavira is a must! It is an unspoilt town straddling the River Gilão with very few hotels and lots of churches, history and cobbled streets filled with street cafes. Tavira typifies the unspoilt region of the East Algarve which is a joy to explore. Horse drawn carriages and a small land train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful ambience. Tavira Island has a wonderful beach and lots of beach side restaurants and is accessible by ferry boat from the town. Monte Rei Golf and Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus designed course, is only 3km from Casa Rosa, and in the opinion of many, is the best course on the Algarve. It also hosts a very fine restaurant, Vistas. It is an idyllic country club with beautiful pool, spa and gym. Day passes are available from the Club at reasonable rates. There are also 5 other golf courses just a short drive from Casa Rosa.
