The architect wanted to remain faithful to the old-fashioned charm of a romantic Lisbon but he would not give up modern comforts. Favour space so stay light shine and the rooms are nice. Do not give up the volumes but define spaces. Besides, the view of the Rossio dispenses comments, thermal and sound insulation are good and discreet efficient heating.
Charm, authenticity and comfort.
Good location in the "flat" part of centro with easy access to the Metro, trains, tram and buses. Walking distance to many restaurants. We also arranged for the free walking tour which allowed us a quick study of the history, culture and areas surrounding the apartment. Our only negative was that there isn't an elevator. But, the positives out number the only negative.
We stayed here during the Portugal Finals and found this unit very well situated close to everything. The unit is clean, rooms are great in size, has everything you need including A/C. Totally recommend in staying here to anyone wanting a place close to central location. We will surely be back again renting this unit out. Close to Bus stations, Food and Shops.
The apartment is clean and comfortable we like this house…Really recommended!!
Apartment very well situated just a step from Rossio, from subway and from the famous railway 28, good comfort, warm welcome and complete equipment
Contact with the owners was easy and they seemed like very nice people. We even got our room few hours earlier than promised.
The apartment couldn't be in better place. It's literally a stone throw away from Rossio square so everything's near - shops, bars, restaurants and public transportation.
The building is in bad condition, the stairway is a bit creepy and there's no elevator. Don't let it bother because the apartment is really nice. It's roomy and nicely equipped. Beds were bit hard for us, but quite ok. And this is a matter of opinion anyway.
Windows face quite busy street so there's some noise coming from outside, but there are wooden shutters that block most of it. So we had no problem sleeping.
Negative thing in the apartment is the smell. The sofa in the apartment was smelling really bad. And i mean really bad. We had to put some blankets on it before we could even use it. I hope they will change the sofa fast, it's just disgusting. There was also some bad smell from the drain but that didn't bother us much.
Apartment should also be cleaned thoroughly once and a while. There was big fat layer of dust on open shelves and the oven filled the kitchen with smoke when we put it on. It probably hasn't been cleaned for months.
Those few thing lose a star from me. They are easily fixed, so hope they do it. After all I warmly recommend the apartment for everybody and we'll probably rent the same apartment when we come back to Lisbon. (at least if they have changed the sofa by then :) )
Close to the Rossio, the heart of the city! Besides all the useful services for a pleasant stay (restaurants, bars, supermarket, various shops ...) you will be close to museums and historical monuments that mark this city. (Elevador Santa Justa, ruinas do Carmo, Rossio, Praca do Comercio, Castelo, city museum, fashion ...)
