Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Hilton - Hilton NY Cottage

-Serene 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, sleeps 6

If you want a serene setting close to Lake Ontario come stay here!

Relive your cottage memories! Come to relax, to chat around the outdoor fireplace, sun bathe, hike, or read a good book!

This 1100 sq. ft. heated year-round cottage is on a cul-de-sac along the shores of Lake Ontario. It's located in Hilton New York - a beautiful northwestern suburb of Rochester, New York. Located far enough away to enjoy a secluded retreat from everyday life, but close enough to experience all that Rochester has to offer.

The cottage is nestled on the south side of the road, on a private 50x250 lot backing up to dense wood. The lake is on the north side of the road. There is little traffic. There is a beach area that has neighborhood walk-in privileges to use. This unique location consists of cottages, and homes. It is a 2 minute walk from the Braddock Point Lighthouse which is now a Bed and Breakfast and holds intimate wedding ceremonies. There is also a tiny public green space with a fantastic vantage point to watch the sunset next to the lighthouse.

Time moves in different increments at the lake. There are carefree days that are about families, fun and togetherness. There are easy mornings moving into afternoons by way of lunch from the grill.

Additional Information: Conveniently located 2 minutes from the scenic Lake Ontario Parkway, this serene setting provides fresh clean air and the opportunity to kick back, and take things a bit more slowly.

Inside the cottage is spotlessly clean and airy with new paint and decorations throughout.

This is an optimal place to surround yourself with peace and quiet. The cottage is the perfect mix of a lakeside retreat and a woodland cabin. The private setting is enhanced by a deep lot, surrounded by trees, and the benefit of not being sandwiched between neighboring houses.

The outdoor fireplace provides a beautiful ambiance to relax by.

This is a delightful gem of a place to get away to unwind. Whether it is quiet solitude and reflection or days filled with activities you will find it all here.

Included at no extra charge: high speed Internet connection for guests with laptops, digital phone which allows free local and long distance calls in the U.S.A., and cable television.

Additional Things to do:: Metro Rochester is within a 30 minutes drive. There are great restaurants, theaters, Rochester Redwings baseball, Rhinos soccer, planetarium, science museum, a zoo, and night clubs. There are various festivals throughout the year.

Universities - State University College at Brockport -25 minutes, The University of Rochester-30 minutes, Rochester Institute of Technology-30 minutes, Saint John Fisher College -40 minutes Six Flags, Darien Lake Amusement and Water Park is 45 minutes away. Seabreeze Amusement park is 25 minutes away. Letchworth State Park called the 'Grand Canyon of the East' is 1 hour away.

Niagara Falls is 90 minutes away. View the mighty falls in various locations, take a trip on the Maid Of The Mist to get a close up look, and visit the casino ! Take the scenic route to the Falls and visit several wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail along the way.

The Finger Lakes Region is about an hour away - There are over 80 wineries to choose from in a scenic environment.

Owners comments: Summer of 2005 was the first time we offered the cottage for rent after two years renovating it! We have been blessed to meet wonderful guests from many different States and even Europe.

We had very favorable feedback. Guests comment on how spacious it is and that the rooms are much bigger than the photos show!

We delight in welcoming guests of every age. Our goal is to make you feel snug and immediately at home in our cottage.

We offer a 10% discount off of weekly and daily rates for 2 people or less with no overnight guests!

Hilton is a beautiful place to visit anytime of the year. Enjoy the chartreuse springs, golden summers, scarlet autumns and the snow white winters. Rent our cottage for an old fashion stress-free vacation away from day to day distractions. You will not be disappointed.

Hope to hear from you!

Ron and Mary

My New Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

This is the best!!

It was our first experience renting a cottage instead of staying at a motel while visiting my son and his family. We were not disappointed at all. Our daughter, her husband and 3 children were able to stay with us, and we had room to spare.

The completely equipped kitchen was clean, well organized and a true money saver. Just having the ice maker in the fridge was an extra! Having access to the washer and dryer came in real handy with the little ones. The kids enjoyed seeing the "ocean lake" as they called it. Though rainy that weekend, we enjoyed the backyard and grill when we could. A hop, skip and a jump from almost anything you would want to do, the location was easily reached. We found Hilton itself to be a friendly, quaint and a beautiful tree lined village when we took a drive around the area.

The cottage has three rooms in the main area (not counting the kitchen) with doors that close. That was helpful when the baby napped. It is on a very quiet street where all we heard all weekend was the breeze, wind and waves.I cannot say enough positive about the entire experience. Mary is a wonderful lady and makes sure you will be comfortable and happy when you are there. You cannot go wrong with this rental.

I will rent again and look forward to a future family gathering at the cottage on the "ocean lake".

BTW..security deposit was in the mail the day after we left!! That was GREAT!

Thanks Mary and Ron!!

Relaxing atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful cottage with all the comforts of home. Lots of space for everyone, child friendly -from beds to books. Beautiful beach area. Ron and Mary were very nice and have supplied visitors with lots of information on the area -- from grocery suppliers to fun and entertainment. 5 STAR - hands down. I would definitely stay here again. Peaceful atmosphere surrounds the cottage inside and out.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. No road noise.. Grill, fire, quiet

This place was well designed. Could comfortably sleep 4.. more if kids use sleeping bags. It's quiet, neighbors are friendly and kind and you have a gorgeous private back yard with grill and fireplace. Great table, with umbrella, fully stocked kitchen, wifi, TV and other items. Very nice indeed. I highly recommend it.

LOVED our time away at this cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Mary met us shortly after our arrival and told us any pertinent information about the cottage and area. She was very helpful and friendly. The cottage itself was just lovely! It was exceptionally clean, spacious, and had everything you needed. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay here and are looking forward to a longer stay next year.

Our favorite rental by far

  • 5 of 5

This is a rental where the owners 100% care about you and your stay. It was obvious the second we walked through the door of this adorable cottage. There was a basket of goodies left for us when we arrived and Mary the owner stopped by to talk to us that night and answer any questions we might have. I had told Mary we were traveling with a 1 and 4 yr old. She had a child size table and chairs pulled out for the kids in the kitchen. My kids loved it! The cottage itself was clean and comfortable and to our surprise much larger then we had thought. We were very close to the beach where we took the kids twice. We hope to come back again sometime and stay during the summer. Cannot say enough about their wonderful cottage and the owners were just easy going and very wonderful to rent from. I would definitely recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at what we now call "Mary's House". We loved every minute of it. It's in a convenient and quiet location. We were just a quick ride to our daughter's apartment in Greece, a quick trip to Rochester and close to the Finger Lakes. It's right down the road from Hamlin Beach, which is a lovely place to spend the day with a beach chair and a picnic lunch. We recommend apple picking in the fall! Fantastic! We highly recommend West Wind Farm on Manitou Rd in North Greece. Friendly people and lots of trees!

The cottage is always extremely clean, comfortable and well cared for. We were left a wonderful basket of treats to snack on, including York Peppermint Patties! Everything you could possibly need is in the cottage. Just bring your clothing, buy some food and you are set to go.

A quick walk down the street takes you to the lakefront to take in both sunrise and sunset. Breath taking! The outdoor space is wonderful. We only had a fire one night outside because we were so busy, but it's so relaxing to sit on the patio and enjoy the fire with a nice glass of wine and good conversation.

Thank you, Mary. We hope to return in the spring!
