The house is located in Thumersbach knows as the “Sun El Dorado“ of Zell am See. This beautiful “summer-residence“ built in the 1920s has been devotedly renovated from its new owners over the last years - without loosing its original flair – on the contrary: the facade is authentic and the interior is a combination of old and new, complemented with modern accessories.
Being gently wakened by the sun shining through your bedroom window in the summer time then taking a dip amidst the cool floods of the lake which is only 400 meters away, followed by breakfast on the terrace – wouldn’t that be a good idea? Nature, tranquillity, variety, room to move, comfort and all this in one of the most beautiful places in Austria! The ideal setting for a perfect holiday with family and friends. The leisure activities are endless in this region! Biking, trekking, sailing, surfing, riding, skating, golfing and of course just chilling out and barbecuing in the garden – everything is possible!

We have been coming to Zell am See for over 10 years and it never fails to disappoint. The town is clean with lots of places to eat and drink and far too many activities and places to visit in a week. We even went sledging on the glacier in Aug!
The only negative is that as this is the second year we stayed at the Villa we have seen a drop in the standards. The carpets are very stained with it looks like chewing gum on some of the bed room carpets. All of the showers were broken and the trays flooded. The shower head fell off several times in one room hitting me on the head and dropping heavily on my feet. This also happened in my sons shower hitting him quite hard. I did report this twice verbally and by email but nothing was done. We also had to sort the rubbish left outside as it was attracting flys and had to give the outside a good sweep to remove litter and fag butts. It's such a shame as the house is so nice and could be luxurious. All beds were o my given 1 pillow which I though was a bit tight as we pay 10 euro per person bedding fee and also only 1 small towel. It has made us wonder whether to book next year. On the whole it's a fab house in a great location but with maintenance issues that would take very little effort to rectify.
Zell am see is the perfect family holiday. The house is perfectly situated across the lake from the busy town centre a few minutes walk from the lake. We couldn't keep our 5 yr old boy away from the park, lake or the beautifully clean out door pool.
The house is spacious. We had 3 generations that fitted together easily. It has everything you need to carpool and care for your family.
Make sure you specify what beds you want make up. The bed formation meant my sister was expected to sleep in the same room as my 5 yr old son. The cleaning and bed linen charge is a bit of a sting!
